The star was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and was said to be "visibly shaking" when she arrived at the accident and emergency department. A source at the hospital revealed: "Madonna’s voice was shaking when she gave her name. She was wearing her riding outfit and was trembling. She was obviously in a lot of pain, but she was lucid." The ’Material Girl’ singer was referred to a specialist and checked into a private room for treatment, before being released late last night. An insider added : "She could have been paralysed. It cast a huge shadow over her birthday. Thankfully she is now out of hospital and recovering." Madonna’s publicist confirmed the accident, saying she had been thrown from a horse she "wasn’t accustomed to riding." The star will now have to wear a sling on her injured arm and has to give up all physical activity, including Yoga, for at least three months.

Madonna and OutKast - Aug 05
Madonna has teamed up with OutKast star Andre 3000 on her new album ’Confessions of a Dancefloor.’ The unlikely pair are working on a track titled ’Mixdown’, which will be included on the follow-up album to Madonna’s No 1 hit ’American Life’.

The Material Girl is said to have hit it off with hip-hop star Andre on the set of husband Guy Ritchie’s new movie, ’Revolver’ in which the star is performing. Andre said: "Madonna showed up on the set of Revolver and made me really nervous. She walked around the corner and I forgot all my lines. "She asked me what I thought about music and where it was going and we talked about doing something on her new album." Meanwhile, Madonna banned the public from a London stable - because she didn’t want anyone to see her learning to ride.

The star had an hour lesson at the Stag Lodge Stables in London’s Richmond Park and reportedly booked out the entire riding school to make sure fans couldn’t see her. A source revealed: "Madonna didn’t want to be recognised at all, so she booked the place out. "She was adamant and insisted that she have the arena to herself." The former wild star is said to have enjoyed riding so much she loaned two horses from the stables to ride at her country estate.

Brian’s attack - May 05
What a strange and perhaps ironic story we’ve just heard about Madonna and Brian McFadden. The ex Westlife star has launched an attack on the Queen of Pop, labelling her as talentless. Brian, purveyor of middle of the road teen-bore ballads, told The Sun "People are saying Madonna makes great music. It’s really rubbish. She doesn’t have a good voice and she’s boring." He also went on to suggest "I don’t know what she’s got, maybe it’s because she’s been naked in some movies and excited a lot of men." Madge, our suggested response would be "Brian who?" but we’re sure you’ve already thought of that.
