The "personal diary", to be published next autumn, will look at her life since finding fame in EastEnders. The book - which follows an earlier autobiography - will also feature her own snapshots as well as specially commissioned photos.

Local girl Martine McCutcheon made diva like demands far bigger than other stars who have appeared on The Frank Skinner show, according to The Sun.

The star demanded Laurent-Perrier pink champagne, 12 bottles of water at room temperature, grilled chicken, fruit and red and white roses to be put in her dressing room.


TV insiders said they were shocked when her demands came through, especially as Britney Spears had only asked for Pepsi!


The Martine McCutheon Show - 19/08/02
Martine McCutcheon is making a comeback, with the ex-Eastenders star due to return to the limelight with her own TV show.


Martine who was beset with health problems during her stint in My Fair Lady is in talks to star in a "Moulin Rouge meets Las Vegas" spectacular, entitled The Martine McCutcheon Show.


All the songs in the show will also feature in her forthcoming album, Musicality. Martine’s manager Jane Brenthas has said "We will be bringing a touch of Hollywood to Britain. She will have lots of big name guests coming from America."


Martine triumphs at Olivier Awards - 18/02/02
Martine McCutcheon has won the Olivier Award for best actress in a musical, even though she had to pull out of My Fair Lady due to ill health.

My Fair Lady also won the outstanding musical production and best choreographer awards. Her co-star, Jonathan Pryce, lost out on the best actor in a musical award as Professor Higgins to Philip Quast for South Pacific.

Martine Sues - 24/07/01
Martine McCutcheon is suing the Sun it has emerged. A writ was served following a story about her relationship with her record company, Virgin.

Schilling and Lom, solicitors for McCutcheon, confirmed a writ had been filed but would not comment on the details of the article. News International also refused to comment.

Martine Dumps Cheating Boyfriend - 19/07/01
Martine has dumped her boyfriend, actor John Sheppard after finding out about his womanising. The former EastEnders star has been dating him for seven months after they met on the set of TV drama The Knock. The My Fair Lady actress started seeing Sheppard after she dumped her previous boyfriend Jonathan Barnham, who was accused of bedding women he picked up in a nightclub.

Martine Under Doctor’s Orders - 09/07/01
Martine is yet again in the news after being ordered by her doctor to cut back on the number of performances of My Fair Lady she should do in a week.

Her run as Eliza Doolittle which began in triumph, with critics(well most of them) raving about her performances, was soon interrupted by her bad health. She is suffering from a blood-clotting problem, bacterial infection and a chest infection.

McCutcheon has managed only 63 performances in the show’s run, one fewer than her understudy, and will now only be doing six rather than eight shows a week.
