A close friend has said. Meg, 34, and a group of friends had spent a month at the exclusive Aman Puri hotel on the paradise island of Phuket, off southern Thailand.

This caused Meg to miss her daughter’s first birthday, she was rumoured to be preparing to spend £50.000 on a lavish party for the toddler but Anais spent the day with her dad Noel Gallagher instead.

Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher was granted a "quickie" divorce yesterday on the grounds of his adultery with his current girlfriend, Sara MacDonald, ending his three-year marriage to Meg Mathews.

The Oasis star claims he left his wife because he could no longer tolerate her behaviour and has denied reports that he cheated on her while they were together. But the rock and roll lifestyle took its toll and in September they announced that they had separated and were to divorce.

While the divorce petition quotes "irreconcilable breakdown arising from admitted adultery", Gallagher insists he only admitted to cheating in order to get the divorce over quickly.

Meg Mathews is demanding a £10million divorce settlement from estranged husband Noel Gallagher. The party-loving 34-year-old wants £7million in cash, a £1.5million holiday home in Ibiza and a London pad costing a minimum £1.5million. And if she does not get it, she has threatened, she is ready to dish the dirt in the High Court about her stormy three-year marriage to Noel, 33.

Meg - mother of the couple’s year-old daughter Anais - has already enraged the Oasis star by turning down a £3million offer made before Christmas. Oasis star Noel, 33, thought he would keep his wife sweet when he offered her a £3million settlement just before Christmas. But Meg, 34, branded the offer "derisory".

The friend revealed: "When her lawyers told her about it, she went ballistic."
In a clause which especially angered her husband she also asked him to buy her a plush London base likely to cost at least £1.5million, and possibly as much as £2.5million.

The friend said: "Meg just wants an end to the marriage and all the problems that went with it. But Noel seems determined to drag it out and try to save as much money as he can. "He’s furious at the way things are going and doesn’t want to go to court. He feels that £3million is more than fair."

Noel is particularly upset at his wife’s demands as he thinks he is already being more than generous.

Under a pre-nuptial agreement, Meg was to receive £100,000 if her marriage folded. When the couple split last September, Noel upped the sum to £500,000. Then he upped it again to £3million.

Meg Mathews and Mel B’s ex are comforting each other after their marriage split. The two friends have both been spotted together at Radio 4 night at Notting Hill Arts Club, which is run by Meg’s former boss Alan McGee.

Meg has separated from her husband rock star Noel Gallagher with who she has a 10 month old daughter Anais.
