Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has reportedly signed up with a US manager - so she can launch a career in America when the group eventually splits up.

The 22-year-old Irish beauty is apparently being represented by Sinead O'Connor's agent Bruce Garfield - who is touting her around to US record and film producers, reports The Sun.

However, it seems some Americans struggle to understand Nadine's Irish accent.

An insider told the paper: "Nadine can't wait to get off the blocks. The funny thing is part of her appeal to the Americans is that she's Irish, but a lot can't understand her."

The leggy songstress apparently plans to settle in Los Angeles - where she spent a lot of time with ex boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe - or elsewhere in California.

The source added that she is "interested in getting into films - anything to break the US market".

The girls release their fifth album Tangled Up next month.



Nadine tops ’best legs’ title poll - June 18 2007
Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has the best legs of 2007, according to a new poll.

The singer, 22, is five places above bandmate Cheryl Tweedy.

Pint-sized pop princess Kylie Minogue took the runner-up spot.

Singer Jamelia, who showed off her pins for tights company Pretty Polly, is third.

Singers Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera take fourth and fifth place, followed by Tweedy, Beyonce and Britney Spears.

Tina Turner, 67, proves age is no hindrance by being voted into ninth spot, one place above X Factor judge Danni Minogue.

Pop queen Madonna, 48, in eleventh place, and Cyndi Lauper, 53, in 14th place, also beat much younger stars.

Others in the top 20 include Mariah Carey (12), Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh (13), singer Amerie (15), former Sugababe Mutya Buena (16), X Factor Winner Leona Lewis (17), Sugababe Heidi Range (18), The Dukes of Hazzard star Jessica Simpson (19) and singer Rihanna (20).

The survey of 1,000 people was carried out for Smash Hits music TV.

Researchers found that Coyle displays her 3ft legs for an average of 59 seconds in each Girls Aloud music video.


Nadine: We won’t be staying friends - April 24 2007
Nadine Coyle has reportedly lifted the lid on her failed relationship with LA hunk Jesse Metcalfe - saying she will never see him again.

The Girls Aloud singer dumped the actor after he was spotted with a mystery brunette.

She told Reveal magazine: "I’m happy moving on and being single now. It just wasn’t meant to be between Jesse and I. We won’t be staying friends."

The 21-year-old added that she stuck by the Desperate Housewives star through thick and thin, but she’s happy to be single again.

"I stayed in touch with Jesse all the time throughout rehab, and even flew out to see him, but there have been problems for a while.

"I feel on top of the world to have Jesse out of my life," she adds. "I don’t want people worrying about me because of him - he’s not worth it.
