Orlando Bloom
- Profession: Actor
- Place/Date of Birth: Canterbury, 13 January 2021
Orlando’s appearance in New York came as a surprise, given that the star is currently in the midst of filming the third instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean almost 3,000 miles away in southern California and has no official projects with Uma in the pipeline.
Uma, 36, has publicly admitted that her relationship with hotelier Andre Balazs, who she was spotted with in Copenhagen just days ago is an "on-and-off" kind of affair, while 29-year-old Orlando, is alleged to have called time on his four-year relationship with super-skinny Kate in recent weeks, according to Entertainment Tonight. Kate was noticeably absent when Orlando made a solo trip to the Teen Choice Awards on August 20 to collect his gong for Choice Hottie.
Last year, Orlando rubbished rumours of a budding romance with his Elizabethtown co-star Kirsten Dunst. While Kirsten also denied the claims, she did go on to say: "There are a lot of charismatic people in this industry... and I can understand why people on location get together."
Still, if Orlando has got another blonde leading lady on his mind, let’s hope he and Kate can remain friends. The pair are due to team up to film the new drama Seasons of Dust later this year.
Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth have sparked wedding rumours - Dec 19, 2020
Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth have sparked wedding rumours after they were spotted shopping for engagement rings in London. The smitten couple spent several hours in swanky jewellery shops - Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels - before Kate eventually set her heart on a £60,000 diamond.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "They were picking out engagement rings and she was trying them on. "They popped into lots of jewellers on New Bond Street. But they were in Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels for the longest period. "They had huge smiles on their faces and were kissing and cuddling. It looks like Kate is about to be Mrs Bloom." The stunning pair met three years ago while filming an advertisement for high street retailer Gap. But their blossoming Hollywood careers had put stress on their relationship and the pair have had an on/off relationship over the past year.
’Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Bloom has been romantically linked to both Kirsten Dunst and Sienna Miller this year. But he and the ’Blue Crush’ actress have been an item again for the last few months and last week made a rare public appearance together at a screening of hit movie ’Annie Hall’ in London.
Annie Lennox snubbed Orlando Bloom - Dec 14, 2020
Annie Lennox reportedly snubbed Orlando Bloom - because she thought he was an obsessed fan. The singer was at a screening of Woody Allen film, ’Annie Hall’, in London when hunky Orlando asked for her autograph. She allegedly told him: "I just want a quiet night. Please leave me alone and get a life."
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It was like watching a car crash unfold. Nobody could understand why she was being so rude to Orlando of all people. "It was difficult to believe she didn’t know who he was. He’s been in almost every blockbuster this year. But it turns out she genuinely though he was an unusually good-looking fan. She must have been living under a rock for the past few years."

Struggling through many classes at school, it took several years for Orlando to be diagnosed as dyslexic but made the most of his time at St Edmund’s School by taking part in theatre projects. He joined the National Youth Theatre in London at sixteen where he gained a scholarship to work with the British American Drama Academy, while also taking bit parts in Casualty, Midsomer Murders and Smack the Pony. It was around this time that he picked up his first movie role, alongside Jude Law and Stephen Fry in Wilde.
In 1998 Orlando attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he fell from a roof terrace, breaking his back and facing permanent paralysis. However he quickly recovered and almost immediately was spotted by director Peter Jackson, who signed him up for the part of Legolas in the epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. Since this Orlando has gone stratospheric, appearing in numerous films including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Calcium Kid, Troy and Kingdom of Heaven. He now lives between London and LA and has an on/off relationship with fellow actor Kate Bosworth.
