- Profession: Hotel heiress

Not all actresses got a tongue-lashing. As well as the Worst Dressed, Blackwell also salutes the "Fabulous Fashion Independents". Britain’s own Helen Mirren and Kate Winslet managed to secure that honour, alongside Angelina Jolie.
Paris denies drink-driving - Jan 10 2007
Paris Hilton pleaded not guilty in the US to drink-driving charges following her arrest last year for allegedly weaving around a Hollywood street in her Mercedes-Benz.
The socialite was not required to be in court in LA. Her lawyer entered the pleas on her behalf - to one count each of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or above.
Judge Michael Sauer set a January 23 pre-trial hearing date and said the case must go to trial by February 23.
The charges carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 (£515) fine. However, the minimum penalty for a first-time offender is a fine, probation and participation in an alcohol rehabilitation programme.
Hilton’s solicitor, Shawn Chapman, declined to speak with reporters after the hearing.
Motorcycle officers said they saw Hilton’s Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR being driven erratically and stopped it after midnight on September 7.
Hilton later said she may have been "speeding a little bit" and was on her way to get a hamburger because she had filmed a music video all day without eating.
The 25-year-old hotel heiress, singer, actress and handbag designer said she had drunk only a single margarita at a charity event that evening.
Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. Her publicist said she had a blood alcohol level of .08%.
Paris ’sacked’ by nightclubs - Jan 4 2007
Paris Hilton has been dropped as the face of two nightclubs.
Club Paris owner Fred Khalilian said he would no longer be associated with the hotel heiress because she had continually failed to turn up for scheduled appearances at the venue in Orlando, Florida.
The party girl was even six hours late for the grand opening two years ago, he claimed.
The nightspot owner will not change the name of the Orlando club, or one opened in Jacksonville last year, but said Club Paris would now refer to the French city.
He plans to hold a competition to find a new face for the clubs.
The socialite’s spokesman Elliot Mintz said neither he nor the star had been contacted by the club owner.
"I’m certainly disappointed to learn of Fred’s unfortunate comments," he said.
"We shall address his statements at the appropriate time."
Is Paris’s music career over? - Dec 24 2006
Blonde socialite Paris Hilton will reportedly not be making any more sweet music.
After her debut album, Paris, was a commercial flop, it seems the 25-year-old has decided to draw a line under her career as a popstar and concentrate on other "projects".
A record label source told the Daily Star: You don’t need to worry about listening to any more music from Paris - there won’t be any.
"Her career as a singer is going to be allowed to quietly go away."
Whilst the first single from the album, Stars Are Blind, was a success on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No 18, her next offering - Nothing In The World - landed further down the charts.
The source added: "This is a blessing really, because if she had done well she would have had to go out on tour.

She might be set to inherit an estimated $20m but that hasn’t stopped Paris turning her hand to a variety of ’jobs’ including TV star ? on The Simple Life, in which ex friend Nicole also starred ? movie star (with cameo appearances in Zoolander and The Cat in The Hat followed by a starring role in House of Wax), writer, albeit of her own autobiography, and model. These extra jobs are thought to have netted her around an extra $6m, a tidy sum which no doubt more than makes up for the ridicule Paris faces daily.
More recently Paris has get in on the music industry, founding Heiress Records on which she will produce her own debut record ? first single ’Screwed’ has already been leaked and, naturally, slated. She has also hit the headlines for becoming engaged to fellow heir Paris Latsis with whom she is regularly seen on the LA and New York party scene.
