Paris Hilton
- Profession: Hotel heiress
- Place/Date of Birth: New York City, 17 February 2021
"I’m going to miss my house because I love it. I really designed it to be my perfect taste," she said. "But too many people know where I live and I’d rather be in a gated community."
Paris sings a new tune - July 31 2007
Her ’Simple Life’ may have come to an end, but Paris Hilton’s screen status won’t be disappearing just yet, as she has just landed a starring role in a movie.
The hotel heiress will be singing and acting as she plays the privileged daughter of Paul Sorvino in Repo! The Genetic Opera - a futuristic musical thriller set in the year 2056, says Variety.
And though Paris was hardly impressive on the big screen during her previous efforts, House Of Wax and Raising Helen, Repo! director Darren Lynn Bousman is certain the ex-con is the right choice as the leading lady.
"I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role - Paris came in and owned it. She is this role," he said to Variety.
Producer Carl Mazzocone from Twisted Pictures added: "We saw many actresses for the role, and Paris sang it better than all of them."
The film may stretch the socialite’s acting abilities, as the plot centres around a mysterious plague that threatens the survival of the human race. All while singing.
Paris pad up for sale - July 31 2007
Paris Hilton is selling her Hollywood Hills home.
The 1926 Spanish-style house has gone on the market with a 4.25 million dollars (£2.1 million) price tag.
"This is a very special celebrity-owned home," according to a description on MLS, a multiple listing service that brokers and customers use for a first look at available properties.
The heiress’s house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with one bedroom converted into the "ultimate closet", and also includes a separate guest quarter and office.
Paris’s publicist, Elliot Mintz, confirmed the house was up for sale but declined further comment.
The move comes a month after the 26-year-old reality TV star was released from jail following a bizarre, three-week stay in which she was briefly released to home confinement and then sent back screaming to a lockup.
Paris had been sentenced to a 45-day jail sentence for a probation violation.
Reporters and paparazzi staked out the residence above Sunset Boulevard last month, capturing the celebrity’s move from jail to home and back.
Paris does charity - July 24 2007
Post jail, Paris Hilton promised she was going to do more to help others, and it seems she’s kept her word, turning up at a friend’s charity gala to raise funds for children with spinal cord injuries.
"It’s a great organisation," Paris said at the Life Rolls On function. "It gives people hope."
The heiress was supporting her close friend Jesse Billauer, a former pro surfer who is now paralysed, and who founded Life Rolls On. "I’m really happy to be here to support Jesse," she told People magazine.
During the evening, the socialite bid and won a $17,500 surfing lesson with Billauer and Adam Sandler.
And she even seems to have extended her charitable mood to her fashion, wearing a black-and-white dress created by 19-year-old fashion student Jonathan Bash.
"He said he loved me and my style and showed me 30 dresses he designed just for me. I was amazed by how incredibly talented he was," Paris said.
She also revealed her next project.

She might be set to inherit an estimated $20m but that hasn’t stopped Paris turning her hand to a variety of ’jobs’ including TV star ? on The Simple Life, in which ex friend Nicole also starred ? movie star (with cameo appearances in Zoolander and The Cat in The Hat followed by a starring role in House of Wax), writer, albeit of her own autobiography, and model. These extra jobs are thought to have netted her around an extra $6m, a tidy sum which no doubt more than makes up for the ridicule Paris faces daily.
More recently Paris has get in on the music industry, founding Heiress Records on which she will produce her own debut record ? first single ’Screwed’ has already been leaked and, naturally, slated. She has also hit the headlines for becoming engaged to fellow heir Paris Latsis with whom she is regularly seen on the LA and New York party scene.
