Paris Hilton has been named the world’s worst dog owner - ever. The sexy socialite - famed for owning a menagerie of pets - reportedly topped an online poll conducted by the magazines ’New York Dog’ and ’Hollywood Dog’. Joint editor Leslie Padgett is quoted on MTV.com as saying: "Our readers felt Ms Hilton’s dog-parenting skills left a lot to be desired. "First she loses Tinkerbell, then she ditches her dog for a cuter dog, then replaces that dog with a ferret, then a Kinkajou monkey, and then, I gather, a goat." Soul sensation Joss Stone was named best dog owner.

Earlier this year it was claimed Paris ditched Tinkerbell for a new pooch called Bambi - who was even smaller. A friend said: "She only likes them when they’re very small and Tinkerbell got too big." Paris reportedly sent Tinkerbell - who went missing last year, prompting the ’Simple Life’ star to offer a $5,000 reward for her safe return - to permanently live with her mum.

Paris Hilton is reportedly set to launch a pop career. The sexy socialite is said to be in talks with music mogul Pete Waterman about moving into the music industry. A source is quoted in the News of the World newspaper as saying: "Paris has approached Pete and they are discussing things. "She knows what a genius he is and is desperate for him to get her project off the ground."

Last month it was revealed the hotel heiress and Nicole Richie are set to star in a fourth series of ’The Simple Life’. The reality TV show was axed from the US Fox TV network last month - but has reportedly been picked up by E! Entertainment Television. The girls will be seen playing housewives in the new season, which is tentatively titled ’Till Death Do Us Part’. It’s thought the 24-year-old stars will appear on the show separately - because the pair have been locked in a bitter feud for months.

The former best friends mysteriously fell out in January, with blonde Hilton later declaring: "It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did and that’s all I am ever going to say about it."

Paris Hilton reportedly broke down and sobbed after animal authorities took away her pet monkey. The sexy socialite is said to have been devastated after Los Angeles officials ordered her to hand over the primate - named Baby Luv - because it’s classified as an illegal pet.

The blonde heiress, who bought the monkey during a trip to Las Vegas last summer, allegedly refused to part with her hairy friend so authorities went to her home to confiscate the animal. An insider is quoted in the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Paris adores animals but she’s too impulsive and often buys exotic pets without understanding how to care for them or whether they can legally be kept as pets."

The source added: "She recently fell in love with a baby kangaroo while filming in Queensland and asked for it to be boxed up and shipped back home. But she was forced to send it back when she discovered they grow up to be very violent. "It’s the same with Baby Luv. She had no idea she was breaking the law when she smuggled him into LA."
