The singer claims to have undergone more than 100 operations over 17 months in a bid to reconstruct his face.

"At times it leaves me seriously suicidal and depressed and I could have problems for the rest of my life," he said.

"If I can prevent at least one person from undergoing this hell and point them in the right direction to a doctor who can manage their problem, then at least I can help stop someone else suffering."

Pete Burns was arrested on Sunday night following a bust up with his ex fiance outside a London club. Pete flew into a rage after seeing Michael Simpson turn up at the gay nightclub with a new blonde cross-dresser. He was held until yesterday afternoon when he was released on police bail.

The attack follows concern over the singer’s mental health. Last month Burns was checked into a mental hospital following requests from his family and friends.

A married glazier is claiming that singer and Big Brother contestant Pete Burns is stalking him via lewd text messages. The messages started after the man assessed a broken window at Burns’ house. Messages included - ’I love you. I need to see you’ and ’Keep a candle BURNING IN MY EMPTY BEDROOM 4 u.’

Burns has only just left psychiatric hospital, where he was committed last month after friends and relatives expressed concern for his mental well being.

Fears for Pete’s mental health - March 24, 2020
Singer Pete Burns, 46, has been checked into a mental hospital according to his spokesman. Burns checked into the St Charles Mental Health Unit on Wednesday after suffering with ’sleep deprivation and exhaustion’.

The episode follows a frantic month for Pete Burns, who has behaved unusually since he left the big brother house.

’You spin me right round, baby right round, like a record baby, right round, round, round’ ... if you weren’t already aware Pete Burns is the eye-patched utterer of those immortal 80s words as the lead singer of new wave sensations Dead Or Alive. Probably better known for his appearance than for anything else, Burns freely admits to indulging in more than a little plastic surgery, a habit which has left him needing extensive reconstructive work after a lip filler disaster.

Never one to shy away from controversy Pete has regularly shocked audiences with his on screen outbursts, including an argumentative performance on Nevermind The Buzzcocks and the famous appearance on Liquid News, following which the BBC were forced to apologise for his language. A 2004 collaboration with the Pet Shop Boys saw Pete back on record - Jack & Jill Party was a club hit but reached only number 75 in the UK charts.
