"Pete Doherty totally denies that he instigated a fight with a photographer in Rome," the statement said.

"Reports that the photographer might make an official complaint will certainly interest Pete’s lawyers, who can call on witnesses who clearly saw Pete being hit with a camera outside his hotel."

Earlier in the night Pete reportedly brandished a microphone stand at fans in the front row of the concert by his band Babyshambles in Rome.

Italian newspaper the Corriere della Sera described how the 27-year-old star clashed with fans at the famous Piper club.

A missile thrown from the crowd hit the band’s drummer, who was forced to leave the stage, and Pete brandished the mike stand towards spectators in the front row. Nobody was injured.

Supermodel Kate Moss is rumoured to be pregnant with lover Pete Doherty’s baby.

Pete’s uncle, Phil Michels, has claimed the couple are expecting their first baby together and says they are thrilled at the news.

"I have spoken to Pete twice about the baby and he has confirmed that Kate is pregnant," he told the Sunday Mirror.

He claimed the Babyshambles rocker called him from Italy, where he was touring, to say the 32-year-old model had had a scan.

"They are both delighted and Pete sounded really excited," he added.

Phil says the loved-up couple are now planning to tie the knot.

"That is why they want to get married. Pete told me they want a baby together to cement their marriage," he said.

"I am made up for them. They’re so happy, they love each other. I can’t wait for the wedding - we are just waiting for a date."

Catwalk queen Kate has a four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from her relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack.

Pete, 27, has a son, Estile, three, from his romance with DJ Lisa Moorish.

Pete Doherty is furious about Jack Osbourne’s claim that he kissed Kate Moss, it is reported.

Rocker Pete, who has a tempestuous relationship with the supermodel, is not happy that Jack wrote about kissing Kate in his autobiography.

Jack, son of Ozzy, said he pulled the model and it "just felt right", a claim that has attracted oodles of publicity to his new book.

Pete is quoted in the Daily Star as saying: "To use Kate like that, it’s just not right.

"I mean, even if he claims they did kiss before I was with her, it’s not right.

"Kate denies kissing him and that’s that."

And Jack saying he will stay away from drink and drugs, so he doesn’t end up like Pete, has not helped matters.

Pete said: "That’s just a foolish jibe. The t*** is out of order."

The Babyshambles frontman recently came out of rehab where he was treated for his addictions.

Biography

It’s hard to believe that just a couple of years ago we didn’t even know who Pete Doherty was now that not a day goes by when another entry to the PD catalogue of disasters is published in the tabloids.

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).

Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.

Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.

It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.

Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
