Kate Moss will definitely marry Pete Doherty. The supermodel - who has been dating the troubled rocker on and off since January last year - has reportedly admitted to friends she has found the love of her life and is desperate to tie the knot.

She was quoted by the News of the World newspaper as having said: "I love him so much. I want to be with him. It’s just a case of when. There are certain circumstances we have to get over and then we’ll be together."

The couple’s relationship broke down earlier this year because of Pete’s addictions to heroin and crack cocaine. However, after his latest stint in rehab, the Babyshambles frontman announced he would wed the catwalk beauty as soon as he was "clean".

The pair appeared to be enjoying their pre-marital bliss as they openly smooched at the plush Boogaloo bar in London’s Highgate. A source said: "She was very open about Pete. I think we were all stunned. But she’s obviously in love and doesn’t care who knows."

Pete Doherty has promised lover Kate Moss he will kick heroin for good to be with her. The Babyshambles frontman - who is due to appear in court on seven charges of drugs possession later this week - insists he is determined to beat his addictions for his supermodel girlfriend.

He said: "It took me a while to realise but there are people who care about me so I’m doing it for them. No. I’m doing it for a special person who I want in my life forever, Kate."
To help him stay off heroin, the troubled rocker has been fitted with a special implant, placed under the skin on his arm, to prevent him from craving the Class A drug. He told Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper: "I’m off the brown. Look, I’ve got this implant now."

Pete and Kate rekindled their on/off romance earlier this month and engagement rumours were sparked after the catwalk queen was spotted with a jewel-encrusted band on her ring finger. However, the couple insist they are not engaged and have no plans to tie the knot anytime soon.

Pete is facing jail - Aug 18, 2020
Pete Doherty is facing jail after he was charged with seven counts of drugs possession. The Babyshambles frontman - who has been arrested on three occasions for possession of heroin, cocaine and cannabis - was charged at an East London police station yesterday (17.08.06).

The 27-year-old musician - who recently rekindled his relationship with supermodel Kate Moss - was first arrested in April and then again in August. Doherty has endured a lengthy battle with drugs and has unsuccessfully tried to kick his addictions several times. In June, he checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic in Portugal, after he was detained in Barcelona airport for allegedly taking heroin on the plane.

Biography

It’s hard to believe that just a couple of years ago we didn’t even know who Pete Doherty was now that not a day goes by when another entry to the PD catalogue of disasters is published in the tabloids.

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).

Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.

Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.

It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.

Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
