Authorities refused to let Pete fly - Aug 15, 2020
Pete Doherty missed a concert in Ibiza last night (14.08.06) after authorities refused to let him fly because he looked drunk in his passport pictures. Pete was due to fly out to play at the Ibiza Rocks festival with his band Babyshambles but discovered he had lost his passport.
He applied for a temporary one but he looked half asleep in the pictures he sent so it was refused. A source said: "Pete’s head was leaning forward. It looked like he was nodding off so the photos were rejected." The night before he was due to fly out (12.08.06) Pete put on a private show in a North London pub, where he was joined in a duet by supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss.
An onlooker told The Sun newspaper "Kate was sat on the bar wearing a tuxedo, frilly knickers and a hat. She’d get on stage, dance, then sit down again. It was like a burlesque routine where she would wiggle her bum at the audience." The couple smoked and drank Guinness and were cheered on throughout by the model’s friends Sadie Frost, actress Davinia Taylor and Pogues singer Shane McGowan.
Pete and Kate closed the set by kissing in front of the audience before leaving hand-in-hand. On Friday night (11.08.06) Kate was seen wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger fuelling rumours the couple are engaged.
Pete checked himself into rehab - June 9, 2020
Pete Doherty has reportedly checked himself into drug rehabilitation clinic in Portugal. The troubled rocker - who was detained in Barcelona airport last week for allegedly taking heroin during a flight - has reportedly flown out to a detox clinic in a renewed attempt to quit his addiction. According to NME.com, the Babyshambles frontman is planning to remain in the clinic for several weeks, where he will be fitted with a "opiate suppressing implant".
The 27-year-old singer, who previously dated Kate Moss, has attempted to unsuccessfully kick his drug habit several times in the past but is reportedly determined to stick it out this time. A source told NME.com: "The decision to undergo rehab was Doherty’s own, and he organized and funded the trip without any outside pressure."
Pete’s Junkie Trip - June 2, 2020
Pete Doherty has been banned from flying Easyjet (we guess he was saving his money for other things) after a trip to Barcelona on the airline. The Babyshambles singer was seen staggering out of the aeroplane toilets with a tourniquet around his arm just fifteen minutes after the flight took off. Cabin crew reportedly discovered ’paraphernalia relating to drug use’ in the cubicle following Pete’s visit and called Barcelona police to meet him from the plane. However officers found only methadone on the singer and let him walk free ... something he seems to be getting rather used to.

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).
Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.
Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.
It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.
Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
