Princes give US TV interview - June 13 2007
Prince William and Harry said Diana, Princess of Wales, had "always been there" for them as they spoke openly about their mother’s death in their first interview for US television.
The princes said the last decade had passed "really, really slowly" and Prince Harry added that he’ll "never stop wondering" about what happened in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris, France, on August 31, 1997.
It’s believed to be the first time the princes have spoken so openly about their mother’s death.
The full interview will be screened on NBC News on Monday.
In extracts released today, Prince Harry said: "Over the last 10 years I personally feel as though she has been... she’s always there.
"She’s always being a constant reminder to both of us and everybody else."
He added: "It’s weird because I think when she passed away there was never that time, there was never that sort of lull. There was never that sort of peace and quiet for any of us - the fact that her face was always splattered on the paper the whole time."
He went on: "You know, when people think about it, they think about her death. They think about how wrong it was. They think about whatever happened.
"I don’t know for... for me personally whatever happened that night. Whatever happened in that tunnel. You know no one will ever know."
Prince William added: "I mean, so after it happened we were always thinking about it. And there’s not a day goes by I don’t think about it once in the day."
Stars set for Diana concert - Dec 12 2006
Sir Elton John, Joss Stone, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry and Pharrell Williams will perform at a concert in memory of Princess Diana .
Details of the show were unveiled by Prince William and Harry today.
The royal brothers, now 24 and 22, announced that the star-studded pop concert and a memorial service will be held in their mother’s memory next year.
The Concert for Diana will be staged at the new £757 million Wembley Stadium on the Princess’s birthday, July 1, when she would have turned 46.
The commemorative memorial service will take place in London on the anniversary of her death on August 31 - 10 years to the day since she died in a car crash in Paris.
William said he wanted the pop concert to be "the best birthday present" his mother ever had and revealed the line-up will be inspired by her musical tastes.
In a nod to Diana’s love of dancing and musicals, there will be an appearance by the English National Ballet, while Andrew Lloyd Webber will stage a medley of songs from his West End shows.
Further acts will be announced at a later date.

Educated at Eton College in Berkshire Harry gained two A levels in Geography and Art. Although he was an unimpressive scholar he did show an aptitude for sport, in particular rugby and polo. After completing his studies he spent a gap year in Australia and Africa working at a cattle station and at an orphanage in Lesotho.
His break over, Harry followed in the footsteps of many members of the Windsor family by enrolling at Sandhurst Military Academy in 2005. At the academy he was referred to as Officer Cadet Wales and was part of the Alamein Company. He passed out in April 2006, announcing that he would join the Blues and Royals and train as a reconnissance troop commander. He is expected to ship out to Iraq in May 2007.
Prince Harry has been involved in several controversies over the years, garnering public criticism for his decision to attend a fancy dress party dressed as a Nazi two weeks before Holocaust Memorial Day. He has also been involed in a scuffle with a paprazzi photographer and admitted to smoking cannabis. His behaviour, which to many reflects that of any young man, has seen him and his group of friends criticised for being ’content with a life of privilege.’
Linked with several young women of his social circle Harry has a regular girlfriend in the shape of South African heiress Chelsy Davy.
