"Was Dickinson so naive to think that I was going to let him get away with talking sh*t about my family, night after night? I don’t think he realises who he’s dealing with." Iron Maiden were also pelted with eggs and debris, and, although Sharon has not confirmed rumours she organised this stunt, she believes they got what they deserved. She said: "Frankly, Dickinson got what he deserved. We had to listen to his complaints for five straight weeks. He only had to suffer a couple of eggs on the head." In an open letter to the band on America’s MTV website, she added: "I know you would love to keep talking about this, because this is the most press that Iron Maiden has had in the US in 20 years, but let’s move on, shall we?"
Sharon - who branded Dickinson a "pr*ck" after the fateful performance - signed the letter "The ’Real’ Iron Maiden." The row erupted at the Californian music festival when Dickinson slammed Ozzy in an interview with Kerrang! magazine. He criticised their reality show, ’The Osbournes’, and claimed the wild rocker used a Teleprompter on stage.
Sharon Osbourne sabotaging Iron Maiden’s Ozzfest - Aug 05
Sharon Osbourne has been accused of sabotaging Iron Maiden’s Ozzfest performance. Fans claim the feisty star and her daughter, Kelly, encouraged the crowd at the Californian concert to pelt the heavy metal band with eggs and beer bottles after lead singer Bruce Dickinson slammed her husband, Ozzy.
Iron Maiden also experienced sound problems in the set, during which a man wearing a T-shirt proclaiming ’Don’t f*** with Ozzy’ jumped on stage. Sharon was reportedly furious after Dickinson criticised their reality show, ’The Osbournes’, and claimed Ozzy used a Teleprompter on stage in an interview with Kerrang! magazine. After Iron Maiden’s performance, she took to the stage and branded Dickinson a "pr*ck". However, she denies any involvement in the pelting incident or technical problems. Iron Maiden manager Ron Smallwood has condemned the attack on the band’s official website. He fumed: "In 30 years in this business and after hundreds of gigs I have never seen anything anywhere near as disgusting and unprofessional as what went on that night.
"The scale, viciousness and concentration of the throwing made it obvious that this was a premeditated and coordinated attack. Assaulting musicians while performing by throwing bottle tops, lighters and eggs at them from just a few yards away is vile, dangerous, criminal and cowardly."
Osbourne’s counselling - Mar 05
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are so upset that their kids have left home they need counselling. As Aimee, Jack and Kelly all fly the nest to pursue new careers their parents have found themselves with a children shaped hole in their lives. You think they’d be glad to get rid of the troublemakers but Sharon and Ozzy have told press that they’re calling in TV counsellor Dr Phil for some help and advice. Their first session will feature on their reality TV The Osbournes, so don’t take it too seriously.
ITV Ozzy - Mar 05
Ozzy and Sharon are all set to host a controversial British talk show for ITV. It is hoped that the rock and roll couple will be able pull in the big celebrities - good friends like Elton John and Robbie Williams might even show up. The show will be aired after 10pm to account for Ozzy and Sharon’s bad language and no doubt unconventional line of questioning.

Sharon also worked her magic on acts such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Coal Chamber and Motorhead, there are also rumours that she briefly worked with Queen but was sacked by Freddie Mercury.
During their long hours together Sharon and Ozzy fell in love and, in 1982, they were married in Hawaii. However, it hasn’t all been romance for Sharon, she has stuck by her husband through his drink and drugs problems, which came to a head when her husband tried to strangle her. Despite everything Sharon has stood by her man and turned her family into a hugely successful media product.
In 2002 The Osbournes aired on MTV. The show followed the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, son Jack and daughter Kelly as well as their legion of pets as they went through day to day life in California. An immediate hit The Osbournes immediately launched the family in to the limelight like never before and when Sharon was diagnosed with cancer during the making of the series she insisted filming continue.
Despite the bad luck that came with the series - both Jack and Kelly developed problems with drink and drugs during that time - there has been a silver lining for Sharon. Ok, so her self titled talk show wasn’t the hugest success in the US but her role as judge on The X Factor has launched Sharon to a whole new audience while the UK version of her talk show garnered a respectable amount of viewers.
Elsewhere Sharon has set up top rock festival Ozzfest and published her autobiography, Extreme, which sensationally revealed the levels of plastic surgery she has undergone, including lap-band surgery (which reduces the size of the stomach) and detailed her ongoing battle with bulimia. However, it is her outspoken ways which have seen Sharon hit the headlines time and time again, from hitting out at Chris Tarrant to a fued with Iron Maiden, via bitchy comments to Rebecca Loos and a neverending argument with fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
