No more surgery for Sharon - May 22 2007
Sharon Osbourne has said she won’t be having any more plastic surgery because she’s too old to cope with the pain.
The 54-year-old mother of three has had several operations - including a facelift, tummy tuck and boob job - but told The Sun her days under the knife are over.
The X-Factor judge said the final straw was last year’s operation to remove a gastric band which helped her lose around 45kg since it was fitted in 1999.
"I was following a dream," she admitted. "I’ve had enough. Surgery is agony - you don’t just wake up with huge breasts. The boob job was the worst thing I ever did. The op to remove my band really did me in. I’m too old for all that."
The wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne said last year that she thought she had "some sort of self-destruction button," and would be opting for therapy to help overcome her eating problems.
Sharon to replace Brandy - April 23 2007
In yet another reality TV re-shuffle, Sharon Osbourne has been named as the replacement judge for troubled singer Brandy on US show America’s Got Talent.
The 28-year-old US singer and actress is currently facing two wrongful death lawsuits, filed by the family of a woman who died on December 30 after her car was hit from behind by Brandy’s vehicle.
"Brandy has enjoyed her association with the programme," her representative said in a statement about the 28-year-old’s departure from the show. "However, she felt she couldn’t give the new season the attention and commitment it deserved."
Sharon will join current hosts David Hasselhoff and ex-Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan as a judge on the talent show, which is executive produced by her X-Factor cohort, Simon Cowell.
The second series of the show, which premieres on May 29, will also see the show’s previous host, Regis Philbin, replaced by Jerry Springer.
Sharon ’not quitting’ X Factor - Mar 13 2007
Sharon Osbourne’s publicist has denied reports that the X Factor judge is planning to quit the ITV talent show at the end of the next series.
The 54-year-old music manager was reportedly so shocked by last week’s axing of fellow judge Louis Walsh and presenter Kate Thornton that she was considering leaving to join hit US show America’s Got Talent.
But her publicist Gary Farrow said she had "no intention of leaving" and that the idea was "never discussed".
A TV insider in Los Angeles had apparently told the Daily Express: "Simon Cowell and Sharon have exchanged faxes sorting her future out with this show and her plans do not include X Factor.
"With the axe being wielded on X Factor, it’s got everyone running scared and Sharon knows her name was mentioned in the shake-up.
"All she is doing is securing her future and branching out."
But it seems that future does involve being Mrs Compassionate to Simon’s Mr Nasty for the time being.

Sharon also worked her magic on acts such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Coal Chamber and Motorhead, there are also rumours that she briefly worked with Queen but was sacked by Freddie Mercury.
During their long hours together Sharon and Ozzy fell in love and, in 1982, they were married in Hawaii. However, it hasn’t all been romance for Sharon, she has stuck by her husband through his drink and drugs problems, which came to a head when her husband tried to strangle her. Despite everything Sharon has stood by her man and turned her family into a hugely successful media product.
In 2002 The Osbournes aired on MTV. The show followed the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, son Jack and daughter Kelly as well as their legion of pets as they went through day to day life in California. An immediate hit The Osbournes immediately launched the family in to the limelight like never before and when Sharon was diagnosed with cancer during the making of the series she insisted filming continue.
Despite the bad luck that came with the series - both Jack and Kelly developed problems with drink and drugs during that time - there has been a silver lining for Sharon. Ok, so her self titled talk show wasn’t the hugest success in the US but her role as judge on The X Factor has launched Sharon to a whole new audience while the UK version of her talk show garnered a respectable amount of viewers.
Elsewhere Sharon has set up top rock festival Ozzfest and published her autobiography, Extreme, which sensationally revealed the levels of plastic surgery she has undergone, including lap-band surgery (which reduces the size of the stomach) and detailed her ongoing battle with bulimia. However, it is her outspoken ways which have seen Sharon hit the headlines time and time again, from hitting out at Chris Tarrant to a fued with Iron Maiden, via bitchy comments to Rebecca Loos and a neverending argument with fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
