She said: "It promises to be a very exciting night. I love bingo, and what’s more I am a huge supporter of Comic Relief.

"I hope bingo lovers and people new to the game come along to one of the clubs on March 9 and help us raise as much money as possible."

The X-Factor judge - wife of rocker Ozzy and mum of Kelly and Jack - will fly in from the family’s plush home in LA for the occasion.

A host of celebrities are staging a string of events in aid of Comic Relief, culminating in Red Nose Day in March 16.

Sharon to lose gastric band? - Feb 16 2007
X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne is reportedly having an operation to remove the gastric band she had fitted in 1999.

The flame-haired star was due to appear on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing - Dancing With The Stars - but was apparently forced to pull out after medical experts warned her to have the op soon.

A source told The Sun: "Sharon had been told she should have the band taken out a while back.

"It helped give her a stunning figure but lately she has been in a bit of discomfort with it and doctors told her to have it taken out sooner rather than later."

The petite mum-of-three lost 100 pounds after having the band fitted - and then had plastic surgery on the loose skin.

She once said: "After losing half my body weight I had flesh hanging everywhere. I had the sort of breasts you normally only ever see in the pages of National Geographic magazine."

Sharon meets the Queen - Feb 14 2007
The Queen is hosting a get-together for the country’s most successful businesswomen including Sharon Osbourne.

The other high-profile names gathering at Buckingham Palace will include founder of Storm Model Management Sarah Doukas, who discovered Kate Moss, to celebrity designer Cath Kidston.

Supermodel Elle Macpherson, known for her Intimates range of underwear, was invited but is unable to attend because she is in LA.

Sharon, who shot to fame with husband Ozzy on their notorious MTV reality show, runs her own international music company Sharon Osbourne Management.

The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and other male royals have not been invited to the women-only lunchtime event on St Valentine’s Day.

The Queen will be joined by the Duchess of Cornwall, the Princess Royal, the Countess of Wessex and the Duchess of Gloucester.

There will be around 250 guests in total at the Women In Business Reception.

Sharon’s X-tremely bad behaviour - Nov 13 2006
Usually known for playing X Factor’s Mrs Nice to Simon Cowell’s Mr Nasty, judge Sharon Osbourne turned Little Miss Naughty when she groped Simon on TV, The Sun reports.

Sharon, 53, shocked viewers by stroking Simon’s chest and trying to lick him when the pair appeared on ITV2’s the Xtra Factor at the weekend.

She stuck her tongue out and leered: "Ooh, Simon loves a big haggis."

Host Ben Shephard couldn’t believe his eyes and asked Sharon: "So, you’ll be heading for the nearest bottle of wine?"

"Ooh yes!" Sharon replied.

But last night Sharon said her rude behaviour was caused by lack of sleep and not alcohol.

"I hadn’t been drinking," she told The Sun.

Simon stormed off the Xtra Factor for the second week in a row, after his slot with Louis and Sharon.

Biography

Born Sharon Rachel Levy to media mogul Don Arden and his wife Hope, Sharon first met husband to be Ozzy Osbourne at the age of seventeen, whilst working as a receptionist for her father.  When Ozzy was fired from his band, Black Sabbath, in 1979 Sharon leapt at the chance to represent him as a solo artist.  It was Sharon who coordinated a comeback for Ozzy, eventually making him one of the world’s premier metal acts.

Sharon also worked her magic on acts such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Coal Chamber and Motorhead, there are also rumours that she briefly worked with Queen but was sacked by Freddie Mercury.

During their long hours together Sharon and Ozzy fell in love and, in 1982, they were married in Hawaii.  However, it hasn’t all been romance for Sharon, she has stuck by her husband through his drink and drugs problems, which came to a head when her husband tried to strangle her.  Despite everything Sharon has stood by her man and turned her family into a hugely successful media product.

In 2002 The Osbournes aired on MTV.  The show followed the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, son Jack and daughter Kelly as well as their legion of pets as they went through day to day life in California.  An immediate hit The Osbournes immediately launched the family in to the limelight like never before and when Sharon was diagnosed with cancer during the making of the series she insisted filming continue.

Despite the bad luck that came with the series - both Jack and Kelly developed problems with drink and drugs during that time - there has been a silver lining for Sharon.  Ok, so her self titled talk show wasn’t the hugest success in the US but her role as judge on The X Factor has launched Sharon to a whole new audience while the UK version of her talk show garnered a respectable amount of viewers.

Elsewhere Sharon has set up top rock festival Ozzfest and published her autobiography, Extreme, which sensationally revealed the levels of plastic surgery she has undergone, including lap-band surgery (which reduces the size of the stomach) and detailed her ongoing battle with bulimia.  However, it is her outspoken ways which have seen Sharon hit the headlines time and time again, from hitting out at Chris Tarrant to a fued with Iron Maiden, via bitchy comments to Rebecca Loos and a neverending argument with fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
