Sian voted rear of the year - Sept 19 2007
Weathergirl Sian Lloyd proved she can leave the nation hot under the collar as she was voted Rear of the Year.
More often associated with sunny outlooks and warm fronts, the fun-loving forecaster showed younger opponents she has still got what it takes to leave admirers sizzling.
At 49, Sian - once engaged to Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik - is the oldest ever winner of the coveted title.
She now joins a star-studded list of Britain’s most superior posteriors from fellow Welsh lass Charlotte Church to Denise van Outen and Ulrika Jonsson.
"Not even I could have forecast the sizzling high pressure that brought me this hot award," Ms Lloyd joked.
Organiser Tony Edwards said many voters in the online poll - which was held to support the charity Beating Bowel Cancer - compared her to the hotpants-wearing duo the Cheeky Girls.
One of the pop twins, Gabriela Irimia, is now in a relationship with Lembit.
A keen skier, swimmer and walker, Sian keeps herself taut with regular charity treks.
Although just over half Sian’s age, television talent show winner Lee Mead scooped this year’s male title.
The winner of the BBC’s Any Dream Will Do competition to find a new star for the West End musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat said: "I’m absolutely delighted this crucial part of my anatomy is helping to raise awareness for such an important cause."
Awards for Richard Hammond and Sian Lloyed - Mar 7 2007
Richard Hammond and weather presenter Sian Lloyd have both picked up broadcasting awards.
The 37-year-old Top Gear star, who has made a miraculous recovery since his life-threatening crash last year, was named best satellite/digital TV personality for his role as host of Sky One show Brainiac.
He joked: "I’m not allowed to drink for a couple of years so I’m the designated driver, but no one wants to take the car with me."
Sian, who has also experienced a rough year due to her fiance Lembit Opik’s romance with Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia, won best TV weather presenter.
Ant and Dec won the TV personality award - their gong was picked up by I’m A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here! star Myleene Klass.
Coronation Street was named TV soap of the year, while Emmerdale won a Special Award, leaving only EastEnders out in the cold, although Lacey Turner, Stacey Slater in the BBC soap, won a TV personality award.
The other winners at the 2007 Television and Radio Industries Club awards included Chris Moyles, whose Radio 1 breakfast show won best radio programme and he also won a digital radio award.

Sian began her career as a researcher for BBC Wales’ Today programme before becoming an S4C announcer. During this time she was asked to work on a series of documentaries on the weather alongside the Met Office. Asked to do a screen test she was then promoted to Weather Girl at S4C before transferring to ITV and an English speaking audience. Sian gained further fame during an appearance in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Privately Sian has had relationships with Mark Cavendish, a relation of the Duke of Devonshire and ITV cameraman Greg Taylor. She split with long term fiancee MP Lembit Opik in late 2006 having become disillusioned with his fascination with celebrity. Opik had also been seeing Cheeky Girl Gabriella Irima.
