Will: I’ve got a slight paunch - Sept 25 2007
Many men of a certain age tend to put on a bit of a tummy - and it seems Will Young is no exception.
The Pop Idol winner has apparently declared he’s less than happy with his look in a tight wetsuit.
"I’ve got a place on the south coast of Cornwall," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
"I’ve just got into surfing. I actually managed to stand up on the board the other day. I’m a bit worried though. I think I’ve got a slight paunch developing beneath the wetsuit - not a good look. I’ll have to get rid of that."
The 28-year-old has been out of the spotlight recently and has been enjoying his down time.
He wrote on his website: "It’s sporadic at the moment, but I relish that. There’s been some going out, I went to see some dance and there are a couple of theatre things I want to go to - something by the people who did Theatre In The Park With George.
"I’ve also been doing up places, getting things for houses and wondering why you get these things that cost you money."
Will’s Gorilla Encounter - 9 July 2020
Will Young has apparently been attacked by a jealous rival - in the form of a gorilla.
The Pop Idol star was filming for the BBC Saving Planet Earth series at a gorilla orphanage in
"One of the gorillas kept making this noise that meant she fancied me," The Sun quoted him as saying. "It didn’t go down too well with the males. One gave me this look out of the corner of his eye, and flung a huge rock against the fence right in front of my face."
Saving Planet Earth has raised more than £1million for wildlife conservation projects. The BBC One documentary series featured celebrities - including Will and famous faces such as Jack Osbourne, Graham Norton, Edith Bowman, Nick Knowles and Saira Khan - highlighting the plight of endangered species.
It drew more than 20 million viewers and culminated with a live fundraising show on Friday. A second week-long series is now planned.
Will gets standing ovation - Jan 23 2007

The singer-songwriter, who first shot to fame as a Pop Idol winner, gave an assured performance in Noel Coward’s The Vortex, at the Royal Exchange Theatre in
Hunky Will made his acting debut in the musical comedy Mrs Henderson Presents, starring alongside Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins - who suggested he try his hand acting in theatre.
Last night the 27-year-old took the play’s lead role, Nicky Lancaster, a messed-up, drug-addled and self absorbed spoilt brat in
