Cat’s LA breakthrough - Jul 06
Who ever thought that when Cat Deeley was cracking us up with Ant & Dec on Saturday mornings that one day she’s be taking the US by storm. Well, it looks like she is. Brummie lass Cat has made quite an impression over the pond whilst hosting Pop Idol style show So You Think You Can Dance. She has apparently been asked to appear on the cover of US Vogue as the editors believe she could be the next Keira Knightley. Looks like splitting with her boyfriend to conquer America has paid off.

Cat’s an individual - Feb 05
Cat Deeley is rewarded for her individual style. TV Presenter and all round lovely girl-next-door Cat Deeley has walked off with an Elle Style Award for her Individual Style. Dressed in an elegant white crochet dress Cat looked as gorgeous - and individual of course - as always. See Pictures
Cat hosts The Brits - Feb 05
Cat Deeley has been chosen as the golden gal hosting The Brit Awards later this month.
Joining Cat on the stage will be a variety of guest presenters, including ’rent a grope’ Justin Timberlake. Wonder if he’ll be repeating his Janet Jacksoon superboob stunt, or maybe a re-enactment of Kylie’s bottom gripping. Watch out Cat!
The line up of performers at the show include Beyonce, Outkast, Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, The Darkness, 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas - gosh, tons! The Brit Awards takes place on February 17th at Earls Court in Londob and will also be shown on ITV.
The only question left is will Cat be the hostess with the mostest dress changes on the night? Following Liz Hurley and Christina Aguilera, I guess 20!
Cat favours Park(y) - 05/02/04
TV presenter Cat Deeley would like to be the new Michael Parkinson, but warns that celebrity is in danger of "disappearing up it’s own a*se."
The 27-year-old beauty says it is "scary" being followed by the paparazzi, claiming: "To be honest, I think celebrity might be disappearing up its own arse. It can’t continue at this level." And on her talk show hero, she says: "Take Parky, now he’s fantastic. I love the fact that he just chats to people, lets them talk, sets up the gag but let’s them have the laugh. That would be my ideal job."

Cat Deeley first stepped into the limelight at the tender age of 14, when she entered a regional BBC Clothes Show competition. Despite her limited modelling experience she made it through to the final round and was instantly snapped up by Storm modelling agency. After successfully sitting both her GCSE’s and A Levels she became a full time model.
Cat first appeared on MTV after sending a video application of herself performing as a VJ; she was invited to interviews and auditions before finally bagging a job.
Her progression onto terrestrial television saw her present the popular CD:UK. But it was her stint co-hosting SMTV Live with Ant and Dec that really secured her position on the small screen. In 2001 she was awarded a Children’s BAFTA for Best Presenter.
Since then she has gone on to host The Record of the Year, Fame Academy, The Brit Awards 2004 and Stars in Their Eyes. Cat has also branched out into to radio with a weekly slot on London’s Capital FM.
Having firmly set her sights on Hollywood, in 2006 Cat hosted the American reality show So You Think You Can Dance and is due to return for the third season which will be aired in 2007.
Cat is reported to have purchased the former Brentwood, LA residence of Marilyn Monroe, where the actress was found dead in 1962.
