Dannii to return to Summer Bay? - Oct 24 2007
Fans of Aussie soap Home And Away could be in for a surprise - it looks like Dannii Minogue might be popping back to the soap.
A report claims the pop princess - who is currently a judge on TV show X Factor - is to reprise her role as Emma Jackson, as part of the celebrations to mark Home And Away's 20th anniversary in 2008.
A source told Inside Soap: "Dannii knows it was Home And Away that really got her to where she is today, and she wants to help them with their anniversary celebrations next year."
But Dannii would apparently be back in the Bay for the short-term only.
"Even though she is very busy with work at the moment, she is planning on setting aside some time to do a couple of episodes of the show," added the insider.

Dannii: I want to adopt - Oct 17 2007
Dannii Minogue has apparently revealed that she is feeling broody - and would consider adoption.
"I want a child more than anything else right now," New! magazine quoted her as saying.
However, the 36-year-old X Factor judge admitted that finding time for a family would be hard.
She said: "I would love to be a mum myself but I’ve got a lot of love to give and will also look into adoption."
The pop star - who was once married to Julian McMahon and has previously dated Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve and former Bros band member Craig Logan - added that she was finding it hard to meet the right type of man.
"I need a man and I mean a man," she laughed. "Being a gay icon, you have the best times at the best parties, but you know all the good-looking men are gay."
Dannii is new X Factor judge - June 4 2007
Pop songstress Dannii Minogue has signed up as a new judge on The X Factor - as well as Grease Is The Word judge Brian Friedman.
The two newcomers will both replace Louis Walsh, who was given the boot by rival Simon Cowell ahead of the show’s fourth series.
Sharon Osbourne keeps her place as a mentor on the revamped contest, which hits screens at the end of the summer.
Dannii says:"I can’t wait to be part of The X Factor team and getting up close and personal on a daily basis with Simon.
"But he’d better watch out because when it comes to mentoring the acts the gloves will definitely be off."
The 35-year-old is talking tough already, despite mixed success in her own pop career.
"Just because I’m the new girl I won’t be a pushover - he’ll soon see my competitive streak."
US Choreographer Brain, who worked with Britney Spears on her hits Toxic and I’m a Slave 4 U, said: "I’m flattered to be offered such a coveted position.
"After the warm welcome the UK has already given me, I’m overjoyed to be extending my stay."
Dannii’s also pretty pleased about Brian’s appointment: "He’s hot and all my friends love watching him too," she says.
She’ll be spoilt for choice, as ladies’ favourite Dermot O’Leary has already been confimed as the show’s new host.
:: Open auditions for the next series of The X Factor will be held at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s home in north London, on June 9.

Sister Kylie was also planning to be famous so dad Ron and former ballet dancer mum Carol were probably quite relieved that Brendan didn’t fancy a life in front of the cameras. Kylie got a role in The Sullivans, and Dannii joined her on the show that same year.
But it was Dannii who was emerging as the early star of the family - in 1982 age only 11 she joined the case of Young Talent Time which made her a household name up and down the country. YTT was a showcase for talented youngsters - who could sing, dance and even act a scene or two. Dannii’s gift for singing made sure she stood out - and she featured on the YTT album covering a Madonna track - which paved the way to more singing success.
At a ripe old age of 17 Dannii left Young Talent Time and decided to pursue her acting skills in a variety of different roles. She also released a fashion collection as she designed some of her YTT outfits - anyone see the clip of her wearing something like a turquoise layered dress? Well - this was the eighties so the fashion collection called ’DANNII’ sold out in ten days.
In 1989 Dannii must have felt on top of the world. She was signed as a music artist, she was nominated for a Logie Award, her role on Home and Away as bad girl Emma Jackson was very popular and her debut single - Love and Kisses sold over 60,000 times. But the nineties proved to be a bit more fickle. She left Home and Away to be a pop star, starred in a film called Secrets - anyone remember it? But an alleged Play Boy pose and marriage and divorce to Julian McMahon was what mainly topped the nineties about Dannii - although she began the climb back to the top of the charts in 1997 with songs such as ’All I Wanna Do’ and ’Disrememberence’
Dannii’s music veers into more dance then commercial pop - as her latest infectious tune ’Put the Needle on it’ seems to show. Dannii continues to enjoy pursuing her varied career - singing, acting, praised theatre roles such as Esmerelda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame - yet she does not attract the same media coverage as Kylie so can enjoy having a more discreet private life - but at any time she can step out into the limelight! Now that surely is the best combination!
Dannii currently lives in the Docklands area.
