Dermot’s master class - 01/12/03
TV presenter and all round sexy bod Dermot O’Leary is jetting over to Belfast to give a master class to young drama and media hopefuls.

Cinemagic is holding a series of workshops designed to encourage young wannabee darlings in a week long festival. And that’s not all Dermot has been up to - he was part of a 20th Anniversary Reunion American Football match in aid of Barnardo’s. He played for his old team the Colchester Gladiators, against the Essex University team, the Essex Blades. Seems like his all action TV show SAS is rubbing off on him!

Dermot’s ’tache’ - 07/08/03
Dermot O leary is growing a moustache for the male cancer charity charity Everyman.

Can you imagine our gorgeous Dermot with a ’tache? Let’s hope he grows a nice neat one, and not a pan handle circa Frankie Goes to Hollywood ’82. It is all in a good cause though, so we can forgive and tolerate!

Ralf Little and Ross Kemp are also growing moustaches, for the campaign called Tacheback. Everyman wants members of the public to raise money by growing their own. Men are being urged to grow them starting on September 1 and must keep them for at least a month.

The rules apparently state ’Moustaches must be grown as moustaches. It is strictly forbidden, not to mention unethical, to grow a beard and then shave off surplus whiskers at a later date’

Dermont supports charity - 16/04/03
Gorgeous Kilburn resident Dermont O Leary has become a patron of the Everyman, the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Dermont said that it was through ’personal experience of a loved one with cancer’ that drove him to dedicate time to this charity - and he even recently ran the London Marathon to raise funds!

Philip Black, Fundraising Director of The Institute of Cancer Research said, "We are delighted that Dermot has agreed to take a leading role in the campaign. Here at everyman we are convinced that these type of awareness campaigns really do save lives and it is vital that the campaign works with high profile people such as Dermot, who can get the message across to other members of the public. His support will give a real boost to the campaign."
