No more acting for Elle? - Oct 19 2007
Elle Macpherson has denied she's planning to resurrect her movie career any time soon, although she admits she loved her time on the big screen.
The supermodel, who appeared in films such as Sirens and Batman And Robin in the 90s, says it was an honour to work with screen legends such as Barbra Streisand and Anthony Hopkins during her brief foray into acting.
"I have nothing in the pipeline as we speak, but over the years I've made great movies with great actors," said Elle, who was speaking at the London premiere of new flick Eastern Promises.
The star, who dressed down in black trousers and a jacket for the glitzy gala screening in London's Leicester Square, added: "I had a short career and it was fantastic."
Mother-of-two Elle was rather more tight-lipped about rumours that her ex Arpad Busson is engaged to Hollywood A-lister Uma Thurman, saying only: "I want the father of my children to be happy."
The Body gets behind the camera - Mar 23 2007
If your production is in a fix and you can’t get a cameraman, you could do worse than get Elle Macpherson to step up to the view finder.
The model-turned-businesswoman was in Dubai on a trip to promote her Boudoir lingerie range - and the famously pragmatic entrepreneur was only too happy to get behind the camera for the BBC’s Money Programme.
A BBC spokesman confirmed that Elle had done her own filming although they couldn’t say what the reason for it was.
According to the Daily Mail, there hadn’t been enough cash left for the show.
"We wanted to chart how Elle is moving from modelling in to business," an insider told the paper. "We simply ran out of money and didn’t have anything budgeted for Dubai.
"Elle is astute with money and was quite happy to take one of our cameras and do the filming herself. We are using her footage and it is very good. She obviously learned a lot from her time in front of the cameras."
The programme featuring Elle’s footage will appear on Friday.
Elle the supermum - Mar 9 2007
Elle Macpherson isn’t just a supermodel, she’s a supermum.
The multi-millionaire lingerie tycoon balances a hectic career with caring for her two sons and, unlike some celebs, she prefers to do it without help.
The model likes to be really hands-on with Flynn, eight, and Aurelius Cy, three, rather than employ staff to look after them, according to the Daily Express.
"My working day starts when I drop the youngest one at school and ends when I pick him up," Elle, 42, told next month’s Tatler.
"It makes me incredibly efficient during work hours, and I really value the five-to-nine more than the nine-to-five," she added.
London-based Elle, who split from Flynn and Aurelius’s father Arki Busson in 2005, also said she won’t return to her native Australia because of her children.
"I still feel very Australian. I’d love to move back. But my children go to school here, their father lives here and I don’t want to separate them from their father," she said.
No romance for Elle - Feb 9 2007
You would think glamorous Elle Macpherson would be beating men off with a stick, but the supermodel has admitted her love life is unusually quiet.
The 43-year Australian has revealed that men don’t approach her, the Daily Express reports.
"I just don’t get men hitting on me," she said.
