He told In Touch Weekly magazine: "Nothing would make me happier than if they adopt. How lovely to have another one. "I’m sure Rocco and Lourdes would love it as they are so close and another sibling would be super. It is the children that keep them together." Five-year-old Rocco is the son the married couple had together, while Lourdes is Madonna’s nine-year-old daughter by her former partner Carlos Leon.
It is believed Guy and Madonna have made tentative plans to adopt a baby from the Vista del Mar Child and Family Services centre, in California, and have already begun the lengthy adoption process. A source revealed: "They’ve begun the application process and are currently undergoing an evaluation typical of adoptive parents. "So far, they’ve been interviewed and fingerprinted to begin the process."
Madonna and Guy’s marriage is back on track- July 20, 2020
Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s marriage is "back on track", the singer’s father-in-law has claimed. The couple have been plagued by reports in recent months that they’re relationship is on the rocks. Guy’s father, John Ritchie, even claimed the pair were locked in bitter rows over Madonna’s hectic work schedule. The rumours intensified after the ’Hung Up’ singer confessed she had "married too early" and "for all thee wrong reasons".
However, John Ritchie has now spoken out again about his son’s relationship with Madonna, this time claiming they have worked out their differences. He told America’s In Touch Weekly magazine: "Their marriage is back on track. I know Madonna is away at the moment and leaving Guy alone, but it isn’t a problem. "He knows that will happen and is not worried about it at all. He doesn’t mind her working. Their marriage is back on track."

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are planning a romantic wedding anniversary - at the Scottish castle where they tied the knot. The couple are jetting to swanky Skibo Castle - which boasts thousands of acres of stunning countryside in the Scottish Highlands - to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary next week. The pair are reportedly leaving Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, nine, and Rocco, her five-year-old son with film director Guy, with relatives so they can focus on each other.
A source is quoted in The People newspaper as saying: "Madonna and Guy have both been so busy lately they decided to do something really special for their anniversary. "Madge has been all over the world promoting her new single and album and has had a really hectic time." The insider added: "She’s also been outspoken about her marriage in the last few months. "Skibo Castle is the perfect place for the couple to celebrate because it’s where their married life began. And it’s the perfect place for romance."

His second film, Snatch, also did well, taking £3m in its first weekend earlier this year, a record opening for an 18-rated film. The diamond-heist drama has so far grossed £12.3m in the UK and is soon to be released in the US. But, of course, it is not just Ritchie’s film successes that command the hundreds of column inches written about him each week. The 32-year-old’s marriage with pop icon Madonna and the birth of their son Rocco has caught the imagination of the public.
He began his career as a film runner in the UK in 1993, quickly progressing to directing music promos for bands and commercials by 1995. The money he made from this enabled him to direct his first film - Hard Case, a 20-minute short and after meeting his producing partner Matthew Vaughn, the two formed SKA Films. They went on to make Lock Stock, and two years later Snatch was released.
Ritchie also spotted the acting potential in footballer Vinnie Jones, who terrified opponents on the field with his crunching tackles.
He is now working on a 17th Century civil war action drama, which is slated for production in 2001.
He spent much of his childhood at Loton Park, in Shropshire, the 17th century home of his baronet stepfather.
Ritchie was born in Hatfield in Hertfordshire in 1968. His parents divorced when he was five, and he went to live with his mother, Amber, who was a model, and her new husband, Sir Michael Leighton, until she divorced again when he was 12.
It is reported that his severe dyslexia meant he attended a total of 10 schools, and left with one GCE in film studies. He got a job at Island Records, before pursuing his interest in film-making.
