"When Jemima and Hugh were in LA for the Golden Globes, they were watching TV and Liz popped up," a friend told the paper.
"Hugh made what he thought was a perfectly innocent comment about how good Liz looked.
"Jemima usually laughs along when he says things like that. But on this occasion, she wasn’t best pleased - and reacted by going all quiet."
The source added: "When Hugh made those comments in LA, it started her thinking she should just throw caution to the wind and dress to show off her fabulous body."
Heiress guilty over wealth - Sept 6, 2020
Jemima Khan has revealed she is filled with guilt over her immense wealth. The heiress says she has been "dragging" boyfriend Hugh Grant to impoverished countries around the world to make him "care".
Jemima, 32, daughter of the late billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, said: "I clearly have a very privileged background. "Do I have the guilt of the over-privileged? I’d have to say yes. And is it the reason I do charity work? Again I’d have to say yes, in part."
Jemima became an ambassador for Unicef after living with Imran Khan, now her ex-husband, in Pakistan. She described to Easy Living magazine a visit to an Afghan refugee camp in Peshawar, dubbed "plastic city" because of its thousands of makeshift homes made out of bin-liners.
"I’d never seen anything like it in my life. It was a profoundly shocking, life-changing experience for me," she said. "One image I still remember as the most harrowing; a tiny, malnourished seven-year-old boy struggling to lift one of the huge tents we were distributing. "When someone suggested he get his father or uncle to help he told us his parents had died and he was looking after his three younger siblings."
She said she had taken Hugh to see similar deprivation, starting with Nairobi. "It’s difficult to care if you don’t see it first-hand," she said. Asked about the secret of her style, she joked: "I have a very good and attentive stylist and her name is Hugh."

They are apart and this really looks as if it could be the end. "Jemima’s had enough of Hugh not committing. She can only put up with so much." The insider added: "They’ve been having huge rows and Hugh doesn’t have a clue that he’s pushing her away. This has been a long-running problem."
