Marco to star in stock cube ads - Sept 28 2007
Hell's Kitchen chef Marco Pierre White has become the new face of Knorr stock cubes.
The celebrity chef got the job after describing the cubes as "the best... in the world".
The 45-year-old cook, who is the youngest Briton to win three coveted Michelin stars, will feature in a Knorr advertising campaign over the next 12 months.
The chef shocked foodies when he also praised ketchup, Colman's mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
He said: "I built my reputation using Knorr cubes and truly believe you can't cook properly at home without them."
Katie Lindridge, Knorr brand manager, said: "Throughout his career, Marco has talked about how essential Knorr stock cubes are to his cooking.
"We really believe his passion can inspire people to use them in different and exciting ways to help them in the kitchen."
Marco recently appeared in the latest series of Hell's Kitchen, which was won by former boxer Barry McGuigan.
Marco opens restaurant at football club - Sept 27 2007
Marco Pierre White is set to feed the Chelsea football squad after opening a new restaurant at their training ground, Stamford Bridge.
The Hell’s Kitchen chef has collaborated with the football club to launch Marco, which is named after his son.
He plans to feed the super rich Chelsea players and their fans a menu including roast partridge and organic shepherd’s pie, as well as more classic French dishes.
"I think people will be pleasantly surprised by the menu he has chosen," head chef Matthew Brown said.
The swanky brasserie-style restaurant, which will seat 70, apparently features a marble mosaic, wooden booths and amber columns.
It has been described as "both seductive and industrial".
Celebs such as Abigail Clancy, Paul Young and Hell’s Kitchen winner Barry McGuigan attended the launch of the eatery.
Marco, who has won three coveted Michelin stars, owns a portfolio of restaurants around London, as well as the Frankie’s chain of pizzerias, in partnership with jockey Frankie Dettori.

Marco ’like a butcher’s dog’ - Sept 19 2007
Marco Pierre White has reportedly admitted that slaving away over the stove for Hell’s Kitchen has taken its toll.
The chef told The Sun: "I’ve lost so much weight. I’m like a butcher’s dog.
"I feel like I’ve just served a life sentence at Broadmoor.
"There was all this madness going on around me but somehow I had to hold it together. About four nights before the final, I thought, ’I’ve cracked a nut’. I no longer had a fear of failing because I felt I had succeeded."
The 45-year-old was quick to defend himself against fellow celeb chef Jamie Oliver.
"I was listening to the radio one morning as I was driving to the restaurant when I heard Jamie Oliver calling me a ’psychological bully’," he reportedly said.
"Go and win your first Michelin star, Jamie, and then I might take you seriously!"
He added: "There’s a thin line between being a bully and being a protector and I like to think I was the latter."
Former boxer Barry McGuigan won this series of Hell’s Kitchen.
