The 32-year-old singer gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3. She listed Murphy as the father on the birth certificate.

Brown also has an 8-year-old daughter. Murphy has five children from his marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

Murphy’s spokesman, Arnold Robinson, has consistently declined to comment to about Brown’s claims.

He said he would not confirm the paternity test, adding: "We do not comment on Mr Murphy’s personal life."

When asked about impending fatherhood in December, Murphy told a television reporter: "And I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, Sir."

Mel B is reportedly planning to lift the lid on her relationship with Eddie Murphy in a TV show.

It seems the former Spice Girl is about to sign on the dotted line with a major TV company to spill the beans on what she thinks about the Beverly Hills Cop star - who wants her to prove he is the father of her baby, Angel.

According to Star magazine, Mel is intent on revenge - and as well as demanding £3,000 a month in child maintenance, she will also demand a one-off fee to buy a new home in Los Angeles.

A source said: "Mel is done with him trying to make her look like a fool. Denying that he is the dad, is just absurd. Unless it was immaculate conception, the DNA test will prove he is the father."

Another insider added: "She means business. She’s in secret talks with a big network in the States, but in the meantime she’s been advised to take the softly softly approach."

Mel B will reportedly snub the other Spice Girls - by not inviting them to her daughter’s christening.

The 31-year-old, who is based in LA, plans to hold a small ceremony in her home town of Leeds and only invite close friends and family, according to the Daily Star.

Mel, who gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3, was the only Spice Girl missing from the christening of Geri Halliwell’s daughter Bluebell in London last weekend.

Her younger sister Danielle persuaded the former Scary Spice to bring the baby back to the UK for the ceremony, according to the paper.

A insider said: "Danielle wanted Mel to bring little Angel home. But they’ll be none of this showbiz talk - it’s strictly family only.

"There’s no way Mel wants a christening like Geri had. She thinks that having showbiz guests, including her former band members would take away from the real reason they are there.

"In any case, she has moved on since the Spice Girls days."

Former Spice Girl Mel B has given her baby daughter Eddie Murphy’s surname and insisted: "He’s the dad."

The three-week old little girl is called Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Hollywood star Eddie has demanded DNA tests to prove he is the father.

But Mel - real name Melanie Brown - revealed the baby’s name in a statement today and said: "Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy. Iris, as it’s my grandma’s name. Murphy, because he’s the dad. And Brown, because I’m the mum!"

The 31-year-old singer had a brief relationship with Dreamgirls star Eddie last year.

He dumped her in December and cast doubt on the baby’s paternity.

But Mel showed off Angel in this week’s OK! magazine and said: "I look at the baby and she has his big smile and dimples.

"She’s gorgeous. She has taken the best bits of both of us."
