Go George! – 07/06
How does a shamed celebrity set the story straight (as it were) in today’s media obsessed society? Does one give an exclusive interview to the highest bidder? Take out an advert in the broadsheets? Stick two fingers up at the paps and done with? Well, if you’re George Michael defending your right to skulk around the bushes of Hampstead Heath you do it via the medium of high camp…a phone in with the King and Queen of daytime TV, Richard and Judy. The presenting tour de force were clearly delighted at being given the seal of approval from George, who ranted about his public image since being spotted picking up men in London’s premiere cruising spot. Well, if we had to sort out a thing or two in the public eye we’d pick the nation’s favourite Mum and Dad too.

Richard and Judy want Tatu banned - 03/02/03
Richard and Judy have accused Polydor Records - the label behind lesbian pop duo Tatu of promoting paedophilia.

Tatu, two Russian teenagers Julia Volkova, 16, and Lena Katina, 17, topped the charts with their single All The Things She Said.

In their video they kiss and fondle each other while dressed in school uniforms. Their manager Ivan Shapovalov says Tatu are an underage sex project" designed to appeal to men in search of "underage entertainment".

Channel 4 presenter Richard Madeley branded them "sick" and attacked Polydor for supporting their "open paedophile message".

He said: "We are being told that these girls actually have underage lesbian sex in real life and we are being told by their manager that he spotted a gap in the market - a paedophile gap in the market."

"I think they should ban it, I think radio stations should take it upon themselves to ban it."

A spokesman for Polydor was unavailable for comment.
