Ali G aka Sacha Baron Cohen has put back his wedding this month to former Home And Away star Isla Fisher.

The couple have postponed the big day, in her hometown of Perth, until next summer so Isla can study the Bible in Israel before converting to Sacha’s religion of Judaism.

She is to stay at the Rosh Hanikra kibbutz where Sacha lived for a year in 1990. Many of the comic’s relatives live in Tel Aviv.

A Hampstead man has been swearing and using obscenities on Radio One DJ Sara Cox’s morning show. By doing so, he has managed to get into most of the newspapers, both the tabloids and the broad sheets.

Media pundits say that there is certainly no connection between the man’s controversial outbursts and the fact that he has a single out plus a film premiering next month. The man, a 29 year-old Cambridge graduate, is called Sacha Baron Cohen though he performs a comedy act under the name of Ali G.

Biography

With a Welsh father, a Jewish mother and a Christ’s College, Cambridge education, Sacha Baron Cohen’s Ali G character kept the pundits guessing. Now living in Belsize Park, Sacha went to peculiarly-named public (that’s private if you’re a Yank) school Haberdashers’ Aske’s.

At Cambridge, he got a History degree and did his thesis on Black and Jewish cultures. Fascinating. Best known for his Ali G character, aficionados think that his Kazakhstani TV presenter character Borat Karabzhanov is much funnier. Apart from that we’re all waiting to see what he’ll do next.
