"I can’t wait to have my own songs on the next album. I’ve always written songs - so it will mean a lot to me to sing a complete album with them on it," she told the Daily Star.
"The girls and I tend to write on our own, then come together and see what each other has done," she added.
And bandmate Heidi Range said the girls were hoping to team up with a host of other top musicians.
"It’s about time we did a collaboration with another act, as in writing together.
"I know we’ve done a song with Girls Aloud, but I’d love to write with Scissor Sisters or Kaiser Chiefs.
"After the tour finishes we have a week off and go to LA to record with Dallas Austin again," she added.
Girls and ’Babes for Comic Relief song - Jan 12 2007
Forget Peter Kay and Matt Lucas - it seems the next official Comic Relief charity single will be a collaboration between Girls Aloud and the Sugababes
Britain’s biggest girl bands are set to record a cover of Aerosmith’s Walk This Way for Red Nose Day, according to NME.com.
And the site suggests two singles could be released in honour of the fundraising campaign.
The official websites for the Sugababes and Girls Aloud include adverts for fans to star in the video on January 18, suggesting the rumours are true.
The track was apparently produced by Dallas Austin, famous for his work with TLC, who also collaborated with the Sugababes on their 2005 album, Taller In More Ways.
Last year, the official Comic Relief single, McFly’s You’ve Got A Friend, was overshadowed by Tony Christie’s Is This The Way To Amarillo.
All proceeds from Tony’s song - supported by a hilarious video from Peter Kay - went to the charity.
This may be Peter and Matt’s intention this year with their reported cover of the Proclaimer’s I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).
Red Nose Day is on March 16.
’Babes Brit hopes - Feb 05
Sugababes’ last minute Brits nomination. The moody trio have nabbed themselves a last minute Brit award nomination for their single In The Middle. The powers that be decided to double the amount of nominees for the Best Single award, adding the likes of Keane, The Streets and Sugababes to their list which previously included Band Aid 20, U2 and Shapeshifters. The awards will take place on Feb 9th.
Diva-babes - Sept 04
Sugababes are taking things too far with their on tour demands!
Sounds like the threesome are getting a little bit too big for their boots. Not only have Mutya, Keisha and Heidi disappointed fans by turning up a massive two hours late for a gig and refusing to sign autographs they’ve also made themselves laughing stocks thanks to an outrageous rider. The group were making a fifteen minute appearance at a free festival in Bristol and demanded a three course meal for them and their seventeen strong entourage along with air con and more drinks than they could ever possibly need. Ok, it’s not Mariah Carey’s selection of kittens but really girls, Guinness, voddie and wine in fifteen minutes?
Sugababes up for a Brit award - Jan 04
The Sugababes have been nominated for Best British Group Award at The Brits, but they face tough opposition.
They are running against perennial favorites - the dreary Radiohead, bouncy pop band Busted, The ’love them or loathe them’ Darkness and The Coral - a band who get about two and a half column inches between the lot of them per year. So will Sugababes win?
