Trinny 'wore Susannah's breasts' - Nov 7 2007
Style gurus Trinny and Susannah are on a mission to boost Britain's breasts.
The duo will address the subject of bras in the first episode of new ITV1 series Undress The Nation.
Flat-chested Trinny was so keen to discover what it is like to have a big bosom that she spent a day wearing prosthetic breasts.
She had a specially-moulded silicon pair made to boost her from a 32A to a 32D.
"I had them fitted so I know what it feels like to be Susannah," she explained. "I need to know what it's like to have really big breasts. I think it's important for me to try big breasts to really get in the headspace of somebody who has boobs."
But her husband Jonny Elichaoff was horrified, telling her: "Ugh, that's sick. That has just done my head in completely."
With up to 80% of British women wearing the wrong size bra, Trinny and Susannah tested an unusual new measurement method which involved them dunking their breasts in a bowl of water.
The displaced water method is the brainchild of Dr John Tyrer, a design engineer from Loughborough University.
Dr Tyrer believes the most important factor in buying a bra should be weight, rather than cup size.
Susannah consulted Dr Tyrer after three different High Street retailers measured her as a 36C, 36D and 36F.
Undress The Nation begins on ITV1 on Wednesday at 8pm.
Trinny a ’shy girl’ at heart - Sept 25 2007
Trinny Woodall’s husband has defended the sharp-tongued fashionista, saying she is actually really shy.
The svelte 42-year-old is best known for making badly dressed women quake in their boots on shows like ITV1’s Trinny And Susannah Undress.
But her millionaire hubby Johnny Elichaoff reportedly told the Daily Mail: "The thing with Trinny is she comes across as cold and aloof, but in fact she is the kindest woman I have ever met. She has a heart of gold."
And the entrepreneur added: "All these things - the books, TV programmes, interviews - they are not about the money. They are about wanting to help women with their insecurities.
"The steeliness people see in her is really a cover for her chronic shyness, believe me."
Trinny, real name Sarah Jane, came to fame after she teamed up with Susannah Constantine to present BBC’s What Not To Wear. The series spawned numerous fashion advice books and the pair released their latest book, The Body Shape Bible, earlier this month.
Trinny and Susannah’s druid battle - July 5 2007
They’re used to dealing with some tricky customers, but when Trinny and Susannah tried to give a famous landmark a makeover, they found themselves having a run-in with a group of druids.
The pair gave the Long Man of Wilmington in Sussex a sex change for their ITV show Trinny And Susannah Undress The Nation, by arranging 100 white-clad ladies on the ground to give the figure womanly curves.
But while programme makers had got permission to film the stunt, some 25 local pagans protested, saying it was disrespectful.
Damh Smith, aka The Bard, from the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, said the "sacred" site has been used for druidic ceremonies for years.
"We’d been campaigning locally for years to keep people off the Long Man, because over the years it has been vandalised quite a few times," the 42-year-old added.
Trinny and Susanna approached the druids and explained the makeover was designed to "empower women".

Born as the slightly less hooray-yah sounding Sarah-Jane Woodall on January 3 1965, Trinny was educated at Kensington’s Queens Gate School. She began her career in the rather less style concious business of the City’s financial centre before bagging herself a job as a writer for the Daily Telegraph.
She set up Ready2shop.com with good friend Susannah Constantine (whom she had previously made over) in the late 90s. The website handed out fashion advice to surfers until 2001 when the pair ran out of money and closed the site down.
However, the pair were picked up by the BBC to present a new makeover show, What Not To Wear. They went on to present What Your Clothes Say About You and What You Wear Can Change Your Life for the Beeb before being hijacked for ITV’s Trinny & Susannah Undressing.
Trinny’s personal life has been a subject of much media attention, notably due to a drug addiction in her earlier years (she is now a trustee of The Chemical Dependency Centre). She is now married to Johnnie Elichaoff and after several attempts has given birth to their daughter Lyla, who was born in October 2003.
