The show will still be hosted by Magnus Magnusson and he said about his celebrity guests - "Hopefully they’ll be used to dealing with the pressure but if it does start getting to them, like I’ve always said -it’s only a bloody game.

Keeping it in the Family?! - 12/11/02
Leeds born Vic Reeves wants his lesbian ex-wife to be a bridesmaid at his January wedding to model Nancy Sorrell. Vic and his ex-wife Sarah have two children together, but split up in 1999 when Sarah fell in love with Julia - Vic’s fitness trainer.

They have managed to remain friends despite their complicated past. Nancy is reported to be ’incredibly happy’ with the arrangements for the January fairytale wedding. The pair met while Vic was filming ’Shooting Stars’ - the celebrity game show, and love blossomed despite the 18 years age gap.

Vic Reeves, along with his sidekick and best friend Bob Mortimer, have become two of the most recognised faces in British comedy. They are often likened to Morcombe and Wise.

It all started when Vic (then known as Jim Moir), who was born in Leeds, moved away from Darlington, and came to London. He made a name for himself on the pub circuit due to his oddball style, and general disregard for the political climate - which is what all the other comics were banging on about. He stood out as being a bit different. Meanwhile, Bob had also gone south, to Brighton where he had studied law. Bob was now a solicitor - no really he was! Then, one fateful night, Bob went to a London pub for a bit of a laff, and watched Vic’s show. Vic got Bob up out of the audience at one point to help him out, and the best post-war British comedy duo were born.

They began working together and soon enough, Channel 4 (which was in the process of cementing its rep as a cool and daring channel) took notice of the pair and signed them up. Vic Reeves Big Night Out premiered in 1990, with Bob taking 10 weeks off from his solicitor job to film the series. He never went back. The show was an instant cult smashhit - it was brilliant in a way that television had never quite seen - ie: everyone thought Vic and Bob were completely out of their trees. The show was in fact a little too weird to reach the mainstream audiences. After taking the show on a live tour they decided it was time for a change. In 1993, BBC2 snapped them up and they came up with the fantastic and bizarre 2The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer" which combined sketches with their "sitting behind a desk" host interaction. As the title suggests, they were now offically equals, putting in the same amount of creative input on and off stage.

In 1995, after doing a second season of The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, they debuted their most popular program to date, the comedy quiz show Shooting Stars. This was a parody of the celebrity quiz show, with two team captains - Mark Lamarr and Ulrik-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka-ka Johnson. And of course there was the lovely George Doors to tell us all the scores. Each episode ended with a celebrity guest "winner" and they would have to perform a bizarre stunt, usually involving very strange props. The nonsense words that Vic used like "Eranu"and "Uvavu" became national catchphrases.

Vic was married for a while to Sarah, but she left him and is now happily living with a female partner. Despite their differences they have remained friends.

For a while Vic was engaged to and then split from actor Emilia Fox, his co-star in Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) and is now dating a former Stringfellow’s go-go dancer called Nancy. Vic lives in a Tudor mansion in Kent and generally shuns the London celebrity life. (Very wise.)
