A stunning monument dedicated to animals killed in war is to be erected in Park Lane after receiving the planning go-ahead.

The Animal in War Memorial Fund's new design incorporates bronze animals and a curved Portland stone wall with a relief frieze. Two heavily laden mules will struggle towards a gap in the wall and a horse and a dog will stand in the adjacent garden area on the other side.
