What do you mean you haven’t even thought about Christmas yet?  We’ve got our turkey ordered, a pudding gently soaking and almost all of our shopping done.  We’re kidding of course.  In truth we only took down our fairy lights five minutes ago and still have some undelivered Christmas cards in our desk drawer. 

However, some of you really are that organised and for anybody already itching to get in to the festive season the Spirit of Christmas Fair is just the thing.  Immerse yourself in a shamelessly commercial world of food, drink, presents and generally spending all of your hard earned dough as the annual Spirit of Christmas Fair comes to Olympia once again with ne’er a word about the Baby Jesus, donkeys etc…

Not that we think that Christmas should be sour faced dullsville you understand.  Quite the contrary, we’ll take any excuse to string up some gaudy decs and enjoy a good old fashioned spending spree.  Especially if it means a few drinks with friends and family.  But we certainly hope someone had tongue firmly within cheek when they christened (ha!) this little event.  If the big man upstairs wasn’t in a good mood the day that Christmas Spirit came to mean thousands of people barging each other out of the way with shopping bags and abusing their flexible friend then someone’ll be burning in the old fires of hell come judgement day.

Ahem.  Anyway.  As ever this year’s Spirit of Christmas Fair is full of fantastic Chrimble ideas.  From health and beauty tips to help you feel more in the mood for a houseful of rabid in laws hungry for chestnut stuffing to the Underwood’s Cookery Theatre which will help you to create the perfect festive feast with barely a bead of perspiration adorning your brow.  There are far too many exhibitors to list here but rest assured that each and every one of them will have a hand in making someone’s Christmas that little bit more special.
