New York Fashion Week 2006

New York's hip hotels are crowded with the world's most fashionable celebrities this week thanks to New York Fashion Week.
Cameron Diaz strolled hand in hand with Justin Timberlake near the Mandarin Oriental, while Courtenay Cox made an appearance at Fashion Week's Bryant Park headquarters, shortly before Heather Graham and Helena Christensen were spotted nearby.
One of the week's first shows, BCBG Max Azria, made a low-key opening statement on Friday as celebrities including Carmen Electra and Kelly Rowland took their positions in the front row to watch a spring collection that included some decidedly wearable loose-fitting eyelet dresses topped with cardigans.
Newly single Carmen made her own stunning appearance on the runway on Sunday at the Imitation of Christ show, looking like a Gothic bride in a striking red silk dress.
Carmen also found time to attend Diane Von Furstenberg's show later that day, which attracted celebrities including Aaron Eckert, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nicky Hilton, Salman Rushdie and his wife Padma Lakshmi.
Kate Bosworth turned up to support Luella Bartley and even managed to get herself a backstage pass to meet the Brit designer after the show.
"I've recently started wearing some of her pieces," says the waif-like actress, who admitted she'd been flown to New York by designer Jill Stuart, of whom she's also a fan.
In addition to the action on the runways, Sarah Jessica Parker also made an appearance at Manhattan's Lord & Taylor department store to sign bottles of her fragrance, Lovely, while Beyonce caused havoc at Macy's flagship 34th Street store when she made an in-store appearance to promote her new album, B'Day.
