Amp Fiddler-If I Don't
Release date: 14 May 2020
Format: Single
Genre: New soul
Our Rating: 3/5
Amplified and racy with beats. This single could feature in a silent movie with Chaplin toppling over tables and chairs. Riddled with the dulcet vocals of Corrine Bailey Rae this track is calling for the dancefloors. Forget the toned limbs of Beyonce and her bootylicious videos, Corrine keeps it real.

Press release
It must be great being Corinne Bailey Rae. Not only do you sell millions of records worldwide and break America, but also you get to ask whoever you want to sing with you. And it pretty much happens.
After listing Amp Fiddlers 'Afro Strut' as her favourite album of 2006 – the Leeds soulstress hooked up with the Detroit veteran after one of her US shows. And the rest, as they say is history.
Coming on like a 30s ragtime homage 'If I Don't' is the perfect woozy record for summer 07. The single is accompanied by an animated video inspired by Mos Eisley Cantina (the alien bar where Luke Skywalker first meet's Han Solo and Chewbacca in Star Wars) and features Amp and Corinne in character, plus their bands, which will be on screens from April.
The single come’s supported by a seriously strong package of mixes from Wookie (already playlisted at 1Xtra), Foreign Beggars and Taylor McFerrin (son of Bobby).
With the unmistakable vocals of both Amp and Corinne it can surely only be a matter of time before 'If I Don't' is sprinkling a little summer over even the gloomiest of UK days.
'If I Don’t' the new duet with Amp Fiddler and Corinne Bailey Rae will be released May 14th on Wall Of Sound/Genuine Records.
