Simian Mobile Disco – I Believe
Release Date: Out now
Format: Single
Genre: Dance/Electro Pop
Our rating: 3/5
The much coveted Simian Mobile Disco are back, with very much a grower of a track. Former vocalist Simon Lord joins forces with SMD once again and along with his sterling vocals - what is produced is a electro synth, bass heavy monster that grows on you every time it gets played.
Synth fans take note: There is more than a healthy helping of the 80’s instrument of choice on ‘I Believe’. But its soulful vocals and instantly recognisable chorus ensures it’s so much more than just a tribute track. You’ll be strutting around the dance floor asking for more...

Press release
After whipping everyone up into a frenzy with their debut album ‘Attack Decay Sustain Release’ SMD are back to please the masses with the snarling synths and deep bass lines of new single - ‘I Believe’.
Teaming up with old bandmate Simon Lord for the first time since Simian broke up – ‘I Believe’ with Simon’s distinctive soulful vocals and the trademark SMD killer production looks sure to ascend on charts this July. As the most downtempo track on the record, ‘I Believe’ might not be an obvious dance floor destroyer, but with massive remixes from main room maverick Switch and space disco professor Prins Thomas as well as an exclusive SMD original psych-electro B side called ‘System’, it’s bound to be a must have in all DJ boxes this summer.
Not content with djing twice at Radio 1’s One Big Weekend and around the rest of the world’s festivals during the release of ‘I Believe’ James and Jas have just embarked on their debut LIVE tour as SMD. Start dates Oxford and Brighton were completely sold out and with a specially added London finale date at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on June 20th, Jas and James stage show as Simian Mobile Disco is sure to set more than a few hearts pulsating up and down the UK.Review by Karolyn Judge
