Ambient beats accompanied by drowned out, sampled vocals sifting in and out of melodies. This is a bit of a mash up for the brain – for me it lacks bass and therefore depth, though I admit to be rather addicted to the old bass bin. Ulrich is renowned for his integral musical journey through the worlds of drum and bass, techno and electronica, and in this release you can hear the influences run right throughout the four tracks. On My Own (Robin Guthrie Remix) takes a more minimal approach but with the same signature mixing.
