Feist - My Moon My Man
Release date: Out Now
Format: Single
Genre: Indie
Our Rating: 4/5
Feist is awesome. Simple as that. And with this new single, she looks set to whip the nation into one of their habitual Arcade Fire-esque excitement frenzies.
Though not the best tune off The Reminder, this is damn good stuff – brilliantly voxed with a distinctive falling about sort of sound (imagine Goldfrapp but less of that glitzy bollocks).
Loads of sounds going on, but so well produced and fleshed out that it just helps to carry the song perfectly. Listen to it a couple of times: love it…

Press Release
My Moon My Man is a rich melodic track with unashamedly romantic lyrics. Feist;s individuality coats her music and on the single her soft hypnotic vocals work perfectly in sync with the hard hitting bass line.
My Moon My Man was written by Feist and Gonzales who also lent his hands on ‘Let it Die’, Feist’s previous award-winning album. The single was produced by Feist, Gonzales and Renaud Letang, and featuresa plethora of talented musicians including Gonzales on piano and acetone, Mock on the Farsifa, Jesse Baird on drums and Julian Brown on electric bass.
Listen to it alongside the other vivid soundscapes on ‘The Reminder’ to get the whole picture.
