Enchanted
Garden sold out - Big Chill announces second summer event |
|
This year's Big Chill Enchanted Garden festival
has sold out for the third year running, three months in advance
of the event. The weekend festival in Wiltshire, which takes place
over the weekend of July 20-22, was put on sale at the beginning
of the year and had only just announced its first artist names.
PK Events has just announced details of its major summer event -
The Big Chill Festival @ Lulworth Castle - which is taking place
over the weekend of August 17-19 in the grounds of the castle near
to the Dorset Coast. More details to follow.
Although there has been much talk of Foot and Mouth
disease and its impact on the festival calendar this summer, neither
The Enchanted Garden nor the forthcoming Big Chill Festival at Lulworth
Castle should be affected. The organisers are quietly confident
that they will run as planned. Both festivals take place in protected
parkland which is not used for grazing animals, and as such doesn't
fall under MAFF control. Also no incidents of Foot and Mouth have
been reported in either area.
Orgainisers have been in discussion with the Department of Environmental
Health and MAFF and both authorities are happy that they go ahead
as long as the festivals remains "closed" (no re-admission) in order
to control the movement of people within the area, and vehicles
which come onto the site are cleanse beforehand.
