Return
of Flat Eric |
|
Eric Clapton has returned to his first Albert Hall
Residency for the first time in years. For Chelsea resident Clapton,
this is a job that he can almost walk to work to. The place is sold
out, to his adoring fans. But this is no middle- aged love-in, like
a Tom Jones show. This is an evening when the entire audience respectfully
sits down to soak up the musicianship, save a few comedians attempting
the drunken-aunt-at- wedding-reception dance.

Saw Shyne And Puffy with Guns |
|
- Shooting victim Natania Reuben sobbed as she testified
today she saw guns in the hands of rap artists Sean "Puffy" Combs
and Jamal "Shyne" Barrow in the moments leading up to the December
1999 Manhattan incident that left her with seven bullet fragments
lodged in her head. "I blinked and when I opened my eyes up I just
felt like a sledgehammer hit my face," Reuben, 30, said.
"Blood began pouring out of my face," she said as
she recalled the mayhem inside Club NY. "I just looked up to the
sky and I said, 'Oh, God, Don't take me.'"

Craig
David confirms US deal |
|
Teen pop star Craig David has signed an American
label deal with Atlantic Records ending months of speculation.
The star has already turned down offers from notorious rapper and
producer Puff Daddy, but has decided it's now time to break America.
Craig's 'Born to Do It' album will be released in America in May
and the young singer/songwriter will move to the States for some
time.
Last year, Craig turned down a lucrative record deal with Puffy
despite a personal phone plea from the Bad Boy Records boss, explaining
at the time, "When I just started I would have jumped at something
like that. But I don't want to join a major label just because of
the other artists. Nice as it was to speak to Puff Daddy, is it
the right thing for me?"

singer as he danced the night away with friends. One onlooker said,
"He was having a good time then there was a fracas. Nobody saw who
delivered the punch - but it was someone with a good right hook."

Eminem
will perform at Brits |
|
Controversial rapper Eminem will perform at this
year's Brit Awards, due to be held in London on 26th February.
The organisers of the industry event are thrilled to have secured
his services, even thought the outrageous hip hop star has a reputation
for the unexpected in his wild stage show. A source close to the
rapper says, "We're keeping everything under wraps. But let me just
say it will blow your British minds. It was touch and go whether
Eminem would make to the Brits at all, but the record label have
applied pressure and he's definitely going to be there." A source
at the prestigious event confides, "The worry though with Eminem
is that when he's around anything can happen."
