Guide to Kensington and Holland Park |
|
Kensington and Holland Park is well
served by transport to central London by bus or tube. There are
also some of best local parks in London including Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens which each contain a huge variety of amenities
including lots of children's play areas, tearooms and sports activities.
The streets of Kensington and Holland
Park are contain pretty white three and four storey terraces, mainly
unconverted, some streets of red brick Queen Anne terraces. Mansion
blocks and luxury apartments in and around Kensington High Street.
Further up around Holland Park there are some massive Victorian
houses, now mostly converted into flats and some attractive terraces
up around Campden Hill Square. Family houses in roads around Addison
Avenue.
The area isn't as hip as neighbouring
Notting Hill so is less well served by restaurants and bars, however
this means that the area is comparatively safe for London with many
families living in the area. The area attracts wealthy British and
internationals and wealthy families seeking a city centre location
with green space nearby.
