"I loved this place! Caught in the rain during a visit to london, happened to bump into this what can only be described as adorable little restaurant! I have been to italy, and happy to say the food there, was the same, if not better! It has a great
feel to it, friendly people serving you and comfy little place it is! Im not old, and to most young people it would look a bit off putting from outside, as its rather traditional, however, once inside, you get a great meal, good wine, great food... I recommend it to everyone who loves italian food, with some character to it! "

"My sister and I used to eat at Scoffs before going to the cinema next door: now, we just go for a meal.
It's not upstage: it is friendly. It's not haute cuisine: it's decent, honest food. We love it, because the staff are genuine and helpful.
Don't bother if you want fripperies. Go, if you value more old-fashioned virtues, nice food, lovely people. And tip as decently as they deserve."

"It looks like an italian restaurant, well.. it's not. We ordered pizza and risoto al funghi and it wasn't italian food. Actually I go to italian restaurants a lot and that was the worse risoto I've ever had.
It cheaps, but not good value for money in my opinion."

"This place rocks! Whether you choose the inside or outdoor seating, the atmosphere is priceless. It's like a movie set where you feel like you're the "Tourist #4" on a movie set.
The service was quick, good... and watching the waitresses, regulars, and bartender was as entertaining as watching the passing shoppers on the street. You can tell they're a tight group, like a family there (I wouldn't be surprised if the elderly lady was even the owner).
The food was nicely prepared. I'd recommend the chicken and chips though there were a lot of options on the menu. (Also, a plus. I'm a college student and found it very fairly priced. You'd be hard pressed to find better for the area and the quality.)
I'd spent the morning getting to know the area (the restraurant is a walkable distance from Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, Harrods) and I found the place window-shopping down High Street Kensington.
As a tourist to the country. to eat at this restrarant was the type of experience that I paid for when I brought my plane ticket. It's got heart.
ALSO, last note, these people really, really know how to make coffee... BEST I've ever had par none! I ordered the cappuccino as a little desert extra after my meal; it was heavenly.
Scoff's is really special. Totally unique-- I'd recommend it as a five-star experience."

"Visited Scoffs on Kensington High Street, before going to see a film on Saturday and I want to tell you Kensington people that you mustn't miss the decor. It's like some kind of acid flashback. Somewhere between a ski chalet circa 1966, a forgotten rural junk shop, a scuzzy pub and a torture chamber, it's the land that time forgot.
Highlights include a whole zoo's worth of stuffed wildlife and birds (the black furry boar's head being a particular favourite), the varnished wooden chalet tables which must have seemed a good idea 30 years ago - can't quite put my finger on what is so weird about them but there's definately something ... the panelled walls, the upholstered ceilings. The claustrophobia of it is positively exhilerating in a Jean-Paul Satre kinda-way.
The food was OK in a Stockpot style, roast dinners with all the trimmings and pasta dishes, and the service was fine, but its hard to concentrate on anything such is the sensory overload of the surroundings. It honestly felt haunted to me It was on my mind for hours. Its a winner, a local treasure. Don't miss, because it can't stay that way for much longer."

""Whenever I'm in London I dine at least once at Scoff's and have been doing so for 15 yrs. Yes, the decor could use some updating but these folks are Italian and see no need to change. The food is fresh and the service is very good. You can have a lovely, homecooked meal with wine for $15. Can't get that in NY.""
