Pickwicks Gifts and Candles by Mandy Carter
I chanced upon this
lovely little shop as I was walking down Kensington High Street.
It was growing darker and this shop positively glowed at me,
inviting me to go and take a closer look at it.
I had a browse inside, and found lots of nice gift items that were very reasonably priced and would make excellent Christmas presents. Inside was a variety of items, arty placemats, candles, good jewellary... Best to come and see for yourself maybe!
There are lots of Christmas decorative items that are downstairs in the shop - from gold sparkling jugs to poinsetta designs, angels and gold stars made out of twigs. Many ideas to make sure your home is festive and bright!
I spoke to Jacklyn from the shop to ask what her recommendations would be...
What would you say is the most popular item to buy in the shop?
Oh, I sell a lot of tablemats and coasters, I have a variety of items here - lots of nice gifts. One item that has been selling exceptionally well is a bronze glass dish.
What would you describe as the best bargain in your shop?
The most reasonable item? Really the prices are all reasonable but I do like in particular an enamel jug that I have. It sells for £8.95 and is really lovely. For a stocking filler item I have 36 small incense sticks presented in a box with a ceramic leaf holder - that is only £2.95
You have a great Christmas decoration selection. What is your favourite from your selection?
I love the light up snowman. He stands about 18'' tall and is made of twigs wound together and has a smart black hat, and when you plug him in he lights up. He sells for £16.95.
