Boujis
Features: Air Conditioning, Seating Area, Available For HireNearest Transport: South Kensington / London Underground
Situated in South Kensington, Boujis is a private members venue that boasts a nightclub area and facilities for private parties. With its intimate setting complete with giant waterbed, you'll be in for an entertaining night at the very least. They also have a dancefloor and different DJ's playing a host of tunes throughout the week.
Known by most as the favourite haunt of Prince William and Harry, what more is there to say? That it’s one of the most exclusive addresses in town? That the ‘End of London Fashion Week’ party takes place here? That it has a cocktail list to die for? And prices to match?

It’s billed as one of the most prestigious and swanky places to go in west London. Entering the black glass doors and walking down the black staircase into the club you do feel as if they belong to an elite club; the low lighting and chic leather seating seem to provide the perfect back drop. However, the £10 entrance fee doesn’t buy you much. Unless you are at a table the club is extremely cramped: it does not seem to accommodate for those not willing to spend £500 for the privilege of sitting down. With the narrow smoking area and queues running back down the stairs, attempting to move around Boujis proves even more difficult. The recurring issue that seemed to aggravate guests even more was continually being asked to remain silent in the smoking area. The designers seem to have provided a visually spectacular environment without thinking about those who inhabit the space.
The crowd:Boujis is a place to be seen. It's filled with attractive well-dressed girls accompanying young well-paid professionals willing to part with excessive sums of money in order to impress. The main clientele seems to be aged around 21 to 24; the young privileged gap-year students and wealthy students home for the summer, particularly during the earlier part of the week.
The drinks:The drinks, as you may guess, are extremely expensive: expect to pay £11 for a double vodka mixer. You are also hit with a service charge as well, even when ordering drinks from the bar. However, the bar is extremely well stocked and you can order almost anything you desire – as long as you can afford it.
The music:The DJs are extremely good, providing an eclectic blend of electro and crowd favourites. The DJ sets usually encompass music from all eras, while putting their own individual modern stamp upon it but there’s little space on the dancefloor.
i know american students get a bad reputation in london but not everyone's please listen to this because this does not deserve to happen to ANYONE. last year i did a study abroad program and very naive--although there was a long line and a lot of people got turned down and we were going to be turned down too because we were not on the guestlist, this lady looked us over, brought some man over (manager)? and chose 3 of us in discretely--after a while i went to the bathroom as an excuse to get away from some sleazy man while my two roommates were dancing--when i came out, this man (he acted like someone in charge of the place--he had dark hair, a thick accent, olivish skin asked my name, started talking to me, then invited me to an 'exclusive lounge' upstairs for champagne and some very important people--i said no politely because he wouldnt let my friends come who were still in the back dancing, but then he grabbed me by the arm so hard it left bruises the next day and dragged me up the stairs as i tried to run back down them, i was so scared i could barely understand what he was saying when we got to the top and he started shaking me and let out some sort of coked up rant about disrespect and he was going to throw me out for that it was raining and february and my coat, bag, and friends were still downstairs in the back, he finally let me go and i ran down the stairs grabbed my stuff and walked home shaking like a leaf--does anyone know who this man might be? if you have any self-respect DONT go to this club
Haven't come across the Prince yet but every time we go there, we have a great time!
Still, I find the price of drinks a bit pricey. I guess one has to pay for quality somehow...
