Feng Sushi - Kensington Church Street
There’s nothing more unappealing than tired sushi that’s done ten rounds of a conveyor belt.
Feng Sushi is a simple concept in food - fresh, handmade sushi using only the best ingredients at reasonable prices.
Select from the extensive menu over the phone, or in person and the chefs will hand make your sushi right then. It’s the healthy option you’ve been promising yourself – no fatty acids or mysterious ingredients to wonder about.
The best ingredients
Farmed salmon is used from the Loch Duart area, which produces delicious lean salmon, as well as using an innovative approach to salmon rearing, concentrating on welfare and the environment.
While the emphasis is on made-to-order takeaway sushi, this restaurant also has seating available inside.
Just pick up the phone and take advantage of their free delivery, which covers a large area, or pop in to the restaurant in person to place your order.

"I came to this restaurant
1. because I live in the area
2. because I like eating fish
3. I like japanese people
4. I am a feng shui design consultant and I thought that the name a very clever play on words.
First Impressions:
Well first of all the feng shui was all wrong. The door was pointing in the wrong direction, there was no chanelling of energy through the use of well-positioned mirrors and the linear alignment was wrong.
No matter:
I am here to eat, not design... I ordered tuna mori wrap, sea urchins and a salmon skin salad.
The tuna was nice, but the sea urchin was tastless - more like street urchin if you ask me. And the salad had too much skin in it and not enough salad. If I come here again I stick to tuna which was ok.
service:
I think the restaurants slogan is something like 'if our fish were any fresher you would have to catch it.'
I think the service motto might be: If our staff were any lazier they would be dead.'
conclusions: Room for improvement. I think the bad feng shui arrangement may be lading to problems, but you cannot blame the art of feng shui on everything. Maybe the owner could take the staff to Japan for a few days and study their methods. It might not be cheap, but you can't mix make a silk purse out of fish bones... "

"I agree... Feng Sushi is terrible. The quality and freshness of the sushi is poor at best. The delivery guys are Russians who don't give a crap about service nor quality of the food and commitment to service.
Rating: Poor"

"After leaving work late I went into the Kensington branch hoping to order sushi to take away. I waited over 8-10mins being completely ignored by two guys who didn't even bother to look up and ackownledge my presence but just answering the phone orders, one after another! I felt as if I were transparent!
Maybe if I was a tall blonde or someone in a suit I might have been served quicker. Luckily the manager came to the reception and I asked to be served. He apologised and kindly offered a small discount. It still left a horrible taste after such a service. This is not really the first time as I tried the branch in Notting Hill Gate where the staff are not overfriendly either.
I have to say that the customer service of Feng Sushi really is not up to standard in these branches in Kensington and Chelsea."

"Feng Sushi make the best sushi I have had in a long while, and what's more they can deliver to your door, ordering over the phone. Lethal! I could eat it every day.
The sushi is rolled and prepared with an elegance of preparation that I find unsurpassed. Everything is wonderful, from the classy raffia wrapping of the smart low-gloss cartons to the great mooli etc. salad that comes with the salmon sushi set which is my all time fave. Eating in in Notting Hill is also great... attention to detail in every way, nothing jars the eye or the palate.
Oh, except when I once received the wrong sushi, with avocado. I hate that, and I rang back to advise them of their mistake, then recived a follow-up call to have the wrong order ready to give back to them. ???? What were thay going to do with it! Didn't they believe me? Anyway, apart from that, they are my culinary heroes."

"I wouldn't bother ordering from this restaurant unless you like cold food an hour and a half after the order, with lies for an excuse, and no customer rights up held."
